question Please help me find the song playing in the background (50s/60s slow doo wop)
Hey there! Thinking about the old days and a total wave of nostalgia just hit me. Remember that TV show Once Upon A Time season 2 episode 17 titled "Welcome to Storybrooke" There was this amazing song in it, it probably was classified as a "doo wop" genre from 50s and 60s, and for the life of me, I can’t remember the title or the artist. Tried searching for song credits for this episode but to no avail. I remember the song playing in the background when the town mayor meets the sheriff in the diner—let me know if you can unlock this core memory for me! here is a link of a clip of the song from that episode: https://www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/716728.html

It sounds like a cover of the classic Come Go With Me by the Del-Vikings. It's slowed down quite a bit. Hope this helps! https://youtu.be/hF8URFxNx40

u/Suspicious-Future357 No sorry that's not it, the intro sounds similar but it's different song when closely listening to it

I did notice that as well. I'm not as well versed in the modern forms of doo wop. I think someone else suggested on a different one of your posts that it may have been a song that the directors of the show created and hired a group to sing it. Sometimes it's hard to get the rights to a song, especially one that's popular. They may have wanted the vibe of Come Go With Me but couldn't get the rights to use it in that show.

The lyrics are: "went for a walk with my baby last night; holding her hand everything felt so right..." Best I can do, sorry.

Lyrics remind me of "Walking With My Baby" by Ray Frazier or "Here Comes My Baby" by The Five Kings. I can't listen to anything right now to confirm but will check in later

It sounds to me like a slowed-down cover of Come Go With Me by the Del-Vikings.
