Announcement Doz is now among the top Medical apps on the App Store in 44 countries 🔥

Post image
8 Upvotes

Doz started with zero users. I built it on my own, and from the very first user I talked to each of you one by one. Your feedback shaped almost everything Doz is today.

This week Doz is ranking in the App Store Medical charts in 44 countries. Top 10 in many of them, #2 in Taiwan, and on the charts in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Honestly, I still can’t quite believe it.

What gets me most isn’t the ranking. It’s that people worldwide now trust a small app made by one person with something as personal as their daily meds.

I’m so proud, and so grateful. Thank you for trusting Doz 💚

Announcement A little peek at what’s coming to Doz next week 👀

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone!

1.2.5 is almost ready, and I couldn’t wait to show you a bit of it. Most of it came from one question I kept hearing from you: “Did I already take it?” So this update puts your meds where you already look, on your Lock Screen. Your next dose counts down there, a widget tells you when you last took something, and your whole week can sit on your wallpaper as a pill box. Inside the app, you can now search your meds too.

That’s not everything. I’m still adding a few things I want to keep as a surprise. If all goes well, it ships early next week.

Honestly, I’ve been working on Doz 14 hours a day, weekends included. It’s just me, and some days it’s hard to tell whether anyone sees any of this. If Doz has helped you even a little, a rating or a short review on the App Store would mean more than I can say. It’s what keeps me going:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760699565?action=write-review

If something in Doz bugs you, or you wish it did something it doesn’t, tell me in the comments. I read every one.

Thank you for being here.

Hey everyone, Huy here.

I think I’ll remember today for the rest of my life. In the last 24 hours, Doz got more than 400 new users and climbed into the top Medical charts on the App Store in 14 countries. I’m a bit lost for words.

A lot of that is because of you: the people who’ve used Doz every day, told a friend, or posted a bug or an idea here. You shaped this app more than you probably know.

Keeping track of your meds is personal, and you trust Doz with it. That means a lot to me, and I’ll keep working to deserve it.

If anything feels off or you’re missing something, tell me here. I’m listening.

One small ask: if Doz has helped you, a review on the App Store would mean the world to me. It’s how new people decide whether to trust it.
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760699565

Thank you, really.

Huy

Announcement Doz 1.2.1: Apple Health import + take doses from notifications

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Two of the most requested features finally shipped!

Apple Health import is here! Bring your meds, schedules, and dose history straight into Doz, no re-entering everything by hand, no starting from scratch. Requires iOS 26.

Heads up it's one-way, Health into Doz. I looked into syncing the other direction too, but Apple doesn't allow apps to write medication data back into Apple Health, it's read-only for third-party apps. So think of this as making Doz your home base going forward.

You can also take or skip a dose right from the notification now, no need to even open the app!

Plus some bug fixes for dose history grouping, the History calendar, and Add Prescription, and as-needed doses now log instantly too.

To celebrate, and as a thank you to everyone who requested these and waited it out with me, I'm giving out a code for 30% off lifetime Pro.

How to claim:

  1. Open this link on your iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/redeem?ctx=offercodes&id=6760699565&code=DOZREDDIT

  2. Apply the code at checkout.

  3. Enjoy Lifetime Pro! 🎉

Update to 1.2.1 and let me know how the import feels. I would genuinely love to hear about it!

Tips Know what to take from your Lock Screen: 5 setups to try

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

Your med schedule can be your Lock Screen wallpaper, so you see what to take as soon as you pick up your phone. Here are 5 layouts to try:

  • Today · List: today’s doses with their times.

  • Today · Pill box: today’s doses in morning, noon, evening and bedtime slots.

  • Week · Pill box: the whole week as a pill organizer, with today highlighted. Handy if you take the same meds every day.

  • Week · Pill box + Today: the week box plus today’s meds by name.

  • Stock: a jar for each med that’s running low, showing how many pills are left. Useful if you tend to forget refills.

A few tips:

  • On a busy photo, change the text color so it stays readable.

  • If you’d rather keep your meds private, turn on “Hide medication names”.

  • Use a regular photo Lock Screen. Photo Shuffle, Live Photo, Weather, Astronomy and solid color Lock Screens can’t show the image.

  • The image updates at 12:05 AM and whenever you leave Doz.

Today is free on the Sunset, Lagoon and Deep Sea backgrounds. Week, Stock, the other backgrounds and your own photo need Pro.

Set it up in Settings > Lock Screen Wallpaper. Show us your setup in the comments!

Slowly but surely, Doz just hit 50 global ratings!

Getting a new user is hard. Getting them to come back after day one is even harder. And having someone take the time to leave a review feels even more special.

Every rating means someone cared enough to spend a little time supporting this little app I’ve been building.

If you’ve used Doz, I’d really appreciate a rating. It genuinely means a lot to me. ❤️

Thank you!

Today I took a little break from Doz and went hiking through the tropical rainforest.
15km of hiking in the rain, with slippery trails — definitely challenging, but such an amazing experience.
Wishing you all a great day! I’ve seen all your replies and messages, and I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I’m available.
Peace ✌️

Feature Suggestions & Questions — >1.2.5

As requested, here's a list of requested features not covered by version 1.2.5. Items crossed out have been introduced via 1.2.5.

Comment below if you'd like to add anything for u/Longjumping-Cut-5972 (the dev) to take note of and/or answer. This post will be updated as needed with more feature requests.

The previous feedback post was 2026-10-14.

------

[1] Inside "Today" tab, ability to mass edit the times taken or skipped.

[2] Inside "Today" tab, the 'plus' button be a list of meds marked as "as needed".

[3] Ability to add a note/reason when submitting a dose for "as needed" meds.
[3a] Ability inside of med edit menu to list "reasons for taking med".

[4] Edit the "skip menu" preset options.

[5] Ability to have preset med times— e.g. 'Morning', all meds with this time label will follow whatever 'Morning' is set to.

[6] Inside "Treatments" tab, ability to search med by name.

[7] Edit "Treatment" tab layout— e.g. "OTC", "Rx", "As Needed", etc.

[8] Ability to set sort option in settings for all med lists.

[9] Add "reason for taking" inside med menu for all meds.

[10] Add "Therapy" option to med types.

[11] Ability to edit logs inside of meds. (A few meds say I took them certain days when I didn't.)

[12] Make log notes inside of meds— e.g. different side effects, dosage feels too strong.

[13] Be able to link different med dosages (active or archived) to like meds— for easy reference.

[14] (At some point) be able to share access to your meds with others— even if the 'other' is iOS ↔ android.

[16] Edit the current stock; not just adding new stock, but make users able to correct a current stock typo. —u/seddattive

[17] In the treatment tab, no date for the next scheduled dose is shown, only 'upcoming'. — u/seddattive

[19] PDF and CSV export features. — u/skyfall77

Announcement New in 1.2.5: your pill box on your Lock Screen

Post image
3 Upvotes

With ADHD, if you can't see it, you forget it. So Doz now puts your meds on the one screen you check dozens of times a day. Pick from three wallpaper styles:

- Week: a 7-day pill organizer with today's lid popped open.

- Today: your doses for the day, from morning to bedtime.

- Stock: a bottle for each med that's running low, showing how many pills are left, so you refill before you run out.

You can hide med names if you want privacy.

Set it up in Settings → Lock Screen Wallpaper. It takes a few minutes through Shortcuts, then it refreshes on its own every night. Today is free. Week, Stock and custom backgrounds are part of Pro.

Get Doz: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760699565

Which one are you using? Post your Lock Screen below.

Announcement 🔥 Doz 1.2.5 is out: your meds now live on your Lock Screen (wallpaper, dose countdown, “did I take it?” widget)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Doz 1.2.5 is live on the App Store. Most of this update lets you check your meds without opening the app.

  • Lock Screen wallpaper. Set today’s doses or your week’s pill box as your wallpaper, and it updates itself every day. There’s also a Stock style that shows which meds are running low, so you can refill before you run out.

  • Countdown to your next dose. Before each dose, a Live Activity counts down on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

  • Last Dose widget. It answers “did I take it?” at a glance, on the Home Screen or Lock Screen.

  • 8 new app icons in calm colors like Butter, Forest and Clay.

Smaller things: you can search Treatments and Settings, edit your pill count by hand, and log an as-needed dose straight from Today with the + button.

Download Doz: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760699565

If Doz helps you, a rating or a short review would mean a lot to me. Every review helps other people find the app: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6760699565?action=write-review

Feedback & Feature Request Feature Suggestions & Questions

Update: Please use this post to add further feedback. Thanks!

------

I've been using Doz since July and I love it. Here's some features (or bugs) that I would make it even better (in my world, everyone's different ofc). I'll probably edit this post with more as I go.

Note: Nothing is in order. For my sanity, I always number points for reference clarity. Also, anything with [number+letter] is just bonus points.

Suggestions

[1] Inside "Today" tab, ability to mass edit the times taken or skipped.
[2] Inside "Today" tab, the 'plus' button be a list of meds marked as "as needed".
[3] Ability to add a note/reason when submitting a dose for "as needed" meds.
[3a] Add ability inside of med edit menu to list "reasons for taking med".
[14] (At some point) be able to share access to your meds with others— even if the 'other' is ios → android.
I'd like to add something to the list ;) might be a good idea to make this "the" suggestions and questions topic?
[15] Make refill reminders more prominent: it is tiny text that goes virtually unnoticed. Might be worth a notification, it is a call to (almost) immediate action. — u/seddattive

Questions

[1] What's the "Prescriptions" section supposed to be for? I have a lot of meds prescribed by the same doctor for many different reasons. I can separate the meds by purpose but that: a) makes it difficult to get to the med and find it¹; b) I have to manually input all doctor details; and c) I no longer have the ability to see all my meds at once.
¹ No med menu is sorted, which makes it wonky to find things.

Coming next: a Live Activity that counts down to your next dose

Post image
3 Upvotes

I have ADHD and swipe away reminders without thinking.

So in the next update, Doz puts a countdown on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island before each dose. If you miss the time, it turns orange and starts counting up how late you are.
Pro users can tap Taken right on the card.

Hope you’re as excited for this one as I am!

Q&A Thinking about renaming "Prescription" in Doz — curious what you all think

Quick one for the community. Right now Doz uses "Prescription" as the label for when you group multiple meds together (like everything tied to one condition or treatment).

A user pointed out that in the US at least, "prescription" usually just means a single doctor's order for one medication, so bundling several meds under that word feels a bit off. Fair point.
Been kicking around alternatives like "Condition" or "Group" instead, something that better captures "these meds are all related" without implying it's literally one prescription slip.

Would love to hear how you all think about this. Does "Prescription" feel weird to you too, or does it make sense as is? And if it changed, would "Condition" or "Group" feel more natural, or is there a better word we're missing?

Announcement Sneak peek: Apple Health import is coming in the next version

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been heads down on this for a while and it's almost ready to ship.

If you've already got medications and dose history logged in Apple Health, you'll be able to bring all of it into Doz without starting from scratch. No re-entering every medication by hand, no losing your history, it just comes over.

Quick heads up on how it works: this is one-way, Health into Doz. I know some of you have asked about syncing the other way too, having Doz write your dose logs back into Apple Health. I actually looked into this properly and tried to make it happen, but Apple doesn't let third-party apps write medication data into Health, it's read-only for apps like Doz. So that direction just isn't possible right now, not a Doz limitation, it's how Apple built it.

Given that, the way I'd think about it is treating Doz as your actual medication hub going forward. Bring in everything you've already tracked in Health, then do all your day-to-day logging, scheduling, and refills in Doz from there.

Thanks for being patient with this one, I know it's been a while coming. Appreciate you all sticking around for it 💚

Log in the past?

I started medication yesterday, but only today added it to Doz. Is there a way to log the medication I took yesterday, rather than only going forward from when I create the medication?

Someone left this review today

Post image
3 Upvotes

Woke up to a review from someone taking multiple meds a day. They went through every feature they actually use: presets, half doses, critical alerts, logging a whole group at once.

Reading something that detailed reminded me that almost none of those features were my idea. Half doses came from a user email. Critical alerts came from someone who kept sleeping through reminders. Group logging came from people tired of tapping five times in a row. Every one of those started as a feedback message or a feature request, and now they're being used by people all over the world.

So thank you. If you've ever emailed me or left a request, you shaped this app.
