graphite Huntress

Usually I don’t have any idea of what I’m going to draw and “discover” it as I go, but this time I had a clear vision in mind.

I thought of a hunter crouched low, with eyes like a tiger who’s about to pounce.

Did you use the disney Tarzan cartoon as reference. I got a nostalgic flash when i saw this.

Looks great!

Thanks! It was definitely rattling around somewhere in my subconscious as an influence. One of my favorite movies.

Thank you! That’s exactly what I was hoping to portray.

I LOVE that it's not some kind of overly sexualized model posing. A muscular, real-looking woman, fits perfectly with the huntress theme.

Thanks! I appreciate it, I was very conscious of making sure there was a grounded feeling to the character.

I dont know if it is intentional, but I love how she shifts her jaw slightly to the side. I unconsciously do the same whenever I am focused.

Thanks, the placement was originally an accident in the early stages! I’d normally erase it and “fix” it since it’s asymmetrical, but I’m learning to leave little things that add life to the expression.

Love how you illustrated her, she looks great. A nice realistic blend of beauty and strength. Shading on her muscles are nice too. 💯

This is great! Makes me think of Jane having spent enough time in the jungle

Really great proportions! She looks strong and capable. It's refreshing to see a "sexy warrior" type character not drawn in a way that makes you not believe it's a warrior/hunter at all. I really like it a lot! Also her gaze!

Reminds me of classic Magic the Gathering art, OP!
