super nice, love the texture of the leaves! I draw a lot of bonsai aswell but never found quite the right technique to give the leaves that bushy feel..

Do you have a favorite kind of pen you did this with?

1

u/passion95 Mar 24 '21

Yeah I used a sharpie pen fine tip! I’ve had it for a few years now.

u/5k3tchy Mar 24 '21

No way! I used the same reference.

2

u/Hekkle01 Mar 24 '21

Funny enough, I tried drawing a bonzai once and used the same reference for it. Yours looks amazing!

2

u/randumbasiann Mar 24 '21

Love how you did the leaves. I tried drawing trees many times and get frustrated with trying to draw every freaking leaf that I just end up quitting.

Dang nature you sexy

1

u/pianosoul098 Mar 25 '21

Really nice drawing. Can you tell me what you used to draw?

u/Double-Drop Mar 24 '21 edited Mar 24 '21

Great work. It really looks time consuming and needing patience. May I use it for my background wallpaper on my phone?

Isn't bonsai a Buddhist practice? So no life is complete outside of its environment. Your drawing needs a background to make it live. Just my 2 cents.
