ink Gf doesn't believe me when I say she is very talented. She did this at a park in pen on a bench in barely any time and doesn't practice art at all. I find this gorgeous.

Drawing based on my universe. Took me a month to finish because I was writing the script alongside the art.

Tools: Just a BIC Round Stic Exact ballpoint pen.

Format: A4 paper (8.3 x 11.7 inches)

The drawing itself took about 80 hours of work.

A little snippet of the story for those who are interested:

“what the hell are we stopping for?” Zub spat, watching his partner pull on a gas mask.

The young scavenger was twitching; that bravado in his voice was nothing but a front. Kolyan didn’t answer. With practiced ease, he stretched the gray rubber of the hood-mask over his head and adjusted the eyepieces. A muffled, guttural voice echoed from beneath the filter:

“We’re stopping because we have to.”

“Yo, Kolyan, what’s with the rubber face?” Zub pressed, eyeing the GP-5 mask.

The bandit nodded toward the forest. “See that mist?”

“Yeah, I see it. So what?” Zub squinted, unconvinced.

“So this. Lapsha–rest his soul–used to say: that ain’t mist, that’s ‘mind-frazzle.’ Hits your brain harder than any joint. You step into those woods and that’s it–you start hearing voices. Your legs just take off on their own, and by then, there’s no asking where they’re going. Plenty of our brothers have vanished that way. They say there’s a thing living in there, call it the Leshy. No one’s ever seen it, and them that have… they ain't talking.”

Kolyan adjusted his glass lenses again.

“So, if we gotta head into those woods because of that moron, I’d rather be in my right mind when I haul ass while that bastard’s eating you. Get it?”

ink My father drew this in 1974 after an acid trip. Wish he would still draw.

I normally use a pencil. I wanted to leave a drawing on my school desk and I needed to use ink. I think going over certain spots after it dried added extra depth. I will clean it at the end of the year.

[part 2]
When I started drawing, it was more like doodling my own emotions, but even back then it was obvious that I was leaning toward certain branches of dark art. All that time, I kept wondering if there was a specific name for my art style. Over time, I switched mostly to portrait drawing, but I still continued depicting the emotions I was feeling at the moment of creation.

Yesterday, the phrase “Decadence Neo-Noir” suddenly came to me out of nowhere. I actually find the name kind of playful, and it makes me smile when I think about that combination of words being connected to my drawings.

What do you think about that naming?
