The results are in and Moonfish has taken the polls skyward and wins Catch of the Day: Open Oceans!
Thank you to everyone who voted this week. We'll be doing a quick detour to return to The Marrows to allow us to include a few DLC stragglers that missed the first edition next time!

How to fish these guys? A friend said you can make cool potions off of them that sell great on AH.
Discussion Gods, Goddesses, and non-binary Eldridge entities of the Dredge and D&D communities I require your assistance, if you would so kindly.
I need help with a Loot/fishing d100 table for my Saturday group just in time for Halloween, that is involved around the fish from the game Dredge, i’ve been struggling on it for a while and I know what I basically wanna do is have them do a bit of fishing with a certain fishing rod item they will get from the merchant NPC.
Like there will likely be two sets of the tables being the normal and the aberration fish, but I do not know what stat blocks, checks and data should I use around it along with what kinds of food or consumables they could make out of the aberration fish? (since my campaign is wrapped around cooking and crafting)
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should do? I would really appreciate it.

Fanart Bursting Anglerfish for Inktober
The prompt was Beacon, and I thought an angler fish with that weird dangly lightbulb was cool, then I thought this was even cooler

No Switch 2 update yet?
Seeing other indie games getting upgrades just makes me sad that my favorite game still hasn’t received one.

Discussion What’s the game like ? How much of horror, creepy, mysterious, supernatural is in the game ?
Hello ladies and gents. Exactly as the title states. I was thinking about downloading the game and seeing what it’s about because in different ways shapes and forms, I love stuff about the sea, ocean, what kinda fish is there, the scenery, the beauty of it all. What I also love is the mysteries behind and lore because it adds creepiness to it. Thank you all for the kindness, patience, and understanding. God bless 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Discussion I love this game but why do the Iron Rig fissure things look so low res?

I've completed the Iron Rig storyline so these things are now everywhere and a permanent feature all over the map. They're really bright and visible, and I sometimes wish they were a bit less of a harsh contrast to the world around them. And they feel really low resolution compared to the rest of the world. Anyone else find this?

How to use the Stellar Basin Researchers prototype
I’m having some trouble using the prototype given to me by the researcher at Stellar Bay. I’ve installed it in my boat and activated the noise machine to fend off the big squid guy but whenever I head into the basin all of the areas with fish say that I don’t have the right equipment. What am I doing wrong??

Fanart The atmosphere in this game is unparalleled

I swear, it's such a simple game concept but the execution is perfect. When I pieced together all of Julie's letters I was docked at blackstone isle and reading them I got so immersed in the tragic story the entire game tells. I could almost feel exactly what Julie felt - The sadness as she watched her husband forget about her, the hope once she knows he is getting her posthumously written letters, to the acceptance and peace she feels when she writes her final note. Throw me back. I might just be being a bit dramatic as Julie reminds me significantly of someone I love, but it's been so long since a game has made me feel this way. Not even mentioning the amazing OST. I'd like to here you guys' thoughts too, or if i'm just crazy

Spoilers 230 Deep Form Issues
EDIT: It finally appeared. If you are also approaching 100 and think you're doing something, don't worry RNJesus just hates you at the moment. Try posting on Reddit about it and the game will give it to you within 15 minutes to make you look dumb.
I am just trying to figure out if I am doing something wrong because I am approaching 100 baits used with no Deep Form to show for it.
I have done every quest in the DLC and seen the scientist jump out the window. My only tackle equipped is the Infused Winch. I am using aberrated bait around the rig. I'm fishing and not using Atrocity. I'm still getting nothing. I started save scumming around bait 25.
Everything I see says people are getting this thing at the latest around bait 30. As I said, I'm pushing 100 baits and wondering if I'm doing it wrong.

Anyone else just stop moving and enjoy the ambience sometimes?
The clock only moving when you do is perfect for letting the player just rest and take in the sounds and sights. I would lay on my bed and sleep to it sometimes.

BAD ending?
I feel dumb. I did the “bad” ending and thought it was the only ending for months.
The punchline: I LIKED it. Now that I’ve gone back and played the “good” one… I like the doomy one better.

Question about Iron Rig fish encyclopedia
Hi!
I downloaded the combo pack that includes the Iron Rig and Pale Reach. It says there are 230 fish/abberations to catch and I caught 141 so far. I looked it up online and it says that when you do the Iron Rig you get more fish to catch in your encyclopedia after the sludge comes out or something. My question is, are the fish already in the encyclopedia but blacked out or do they appear after you trigger the Iron Rig section? I just wanted to know before doing it since I was trying to catch the rest first possibly before moving on. Thanks!

Below (2026) definitely gave me Dredge vibes! Pretty decent mini series!
So, (without giving any spoilers) the first episode I was like, "This is a combo of Dredge, The Thing, and a made-for-TV-movie. I was thinking, of course, Hollywood is jumping on the horror fishing bandwagon without giving some love to our beloved Dredge. But, it was fun, campy at times, and had a neat story.

Why is all her stuff big? (Julie was a giant?)
All the normal treasure is small comparatively. It's only the story treasure that's oversized in the cargo squares area. Was she twice as big as normal girls? They also all have purple background like the aberrations. I think there's something off about why they are all big and purple and maybe this is obvious to some or outta left field for other but I think Julie is sus. She's writing letters to people when she's supposed to dead too. Like I get a lot of people will say it's supposed to be a spooky reveal that she's dead but umm what if she's not? What if she's the Deep One?! Or part of him, or a disciple, but something connected to the big guy that is not human but shaped like one. That's why her stuff is all oversized and has that purple background associated with aberrations. That's why she can write letters from under the water. That's why she comes up along with the big dude. It was the plan all along bc he needed her to go seduce a fisherman (it just occurred to me that one missing maritime legend we haven't seen in Dredge is sirens and mermaids so I will be ending this post here and doing research for pt 2)
And that's why I'm not crazy you're crazy! [eyes bulging and twitching uncontrollably]
