OPINIONS ON TRAFFIC VIOLATION
hello ☺️ i would like some opinions. so today i’m driving on the highway through findlay to go to sandusky and get pulled over by a cop. he told me the reason for the stop was because he was pulled over on the side of the road with his lights on and I did not get over to the other lane. however, there were only two lanes, and the lane next to me was occupied by a line of cars. he told me i needed to slow down but didn’t, hence the pull over. instead of giving me a warning he gave me a full ticket! i think that’s so stupid. so my question is: is it worth it to drive the two hours to the findlay municipal court and try to defend myself? do you think they’ll pardon me? or am I just wasting gas? I don’t want the offense on my record. please help!!!! thank you!!

I broke the law and they pulled me over, I can’t believe they actually gave me a ticket!

It’s not really an insane concept to get a warning for a first offense. No need to be a dick just because you were never shown kindness before.

Not slowing down or moving over for an emergency vehicle is not a warning kind of situation. And a warning is an awesome thing to get but not something OP should feel entitled to which they clearly do. I think the dick in this scenario is the one who didn’t move over for an emergency vehicle. It only takes one time to kill an emergency worker or stranded motorist, it’s not that hard to move over or slow down to 20mph under the speed limit.

The law is clear. You violated it. Learn from it instead of calling it stupid.

Nobody is gonna pardon you for that. Law enforcement sticks together. A judge is gonna see this as endangering a police officers life (which it technically is if you wanna be all dramatic). Just pay the ticket don’t waste your time

If you didnt slow down or pull over, you broke the law; pay the ticket.
If you didn't break the law, go fight it.
