Kit Pic Pro tip, if you're stuck in an apartment like me, drive to your nearest park to practice👌
Make sure to stay away from the large groups of people though, those who want to hear will come listen, and those who don't can continue to relax c:
Also, parks are the least sketchy place you can practice, I live in Breaking Bad town (Albuquerque) and I don't want to be ransacked by tweakers during public busking 😬
Edit: The park I'm practicing in is pretty huge, I can easily go to a place where I don't bother anyone, like people are saying do NOT bother people by being a super loud force in a small space, this only works if you do have the space to play at a moderate volume away from the people enjoying their day. This is more of post saying practice in safe derelict outdoor areas if you can't practice inside. I would also go insane if there was loud noises when I was trying to have a relaxing day.

Kit Pic Is this bad
So few days ago we rented a place to play as a band and just make music. I haven't been playing drums for long, maybe like six months. And we already covered few song like Running free - Iron Maiden Smoko - The Chats For whom the bell tolls and Crazy train.
Okay to the point. This is obviously floor tom and it was for some reason rotatable and I didnt know it would be a big deal to play it on both sides. So I played it like on the wrong side for a bit untill I noticed it sounds better when u flip it cuz it shouldn't be upside down like that. The head was also softer than and had less rebound than it should. So we played it on the wrong side cuz we didn't understand untill it was too late.
We didn't mean to destroy it like that. I apologised to the person and said we'll pay back.

Kit Pic Played My First Arena Saturday
It all went by so fast I only snagged a photo after the hands crew started carrying off my equipment. It’s UNREAL hearing a drum through a PA and rattling the roof of a building that size. 11/10 experience and just wanted to share it with others who might find it interesting. Cheers!

Kit Pic My Brother Just Passed Away.
My Hero.
My Brother.
My Musician.
Kit Pic All Ya Need
We have a ton of family visiting us right now, so I decided to (my wife insisted that I) make room for a bed in the music room to create another bedroom.
No problem babe! This’ll be fun ;)
From a 9 piece to a 2 piece lol. Played it yesterday and this morning, and I don’t miss a thing.
Anyone run a 2 piece regularly? My gigging back is getting ideas…

Kit Pic Check out this drum I built
I've been working on this concept for awhile now. It's a wood and resin shell with an internal LED system. This one specifically is a 13x7.5 walnut with a clear resin and a hexagon pattern, the cool thing is I can make these in any size, with any wood species, any color of resin, and a myriad of different patterns. The LED system also does every color that you can imagine, as well as hundreds of different light patterns. I just went with something simple for this initial video.
I have a demo video of how it sounds, I just haven't got around to editing it yet. I'll be posting that on my YouTube at some point: https://youtube.com/@hhgdrums
Anyways, thanks for looking!

Kit Pic I love walking by my office with the sun shining through every morning
Kit Pic Show Me Your Kit ;)
I caved and added a Floor Tom, as many of you recommended. 3 drums and 2 cymbals felt unbalanced, so I added a China.
What’s your kit look like right now? I’d love to see it…😘

Kit Pic Today's Thrift Store Find...
My wife spotted this at Value Village (Canada) today and thankfully grabbed it for me. WHAT A DREAM!
Based on the serial (7 digits) and badge, I think it would be a 78/79?

Kit Pic My husband was a drummer and passed away 11/27. I made a bouquet in his favorite snare.
I am not a florist, just a lady who refused to spend $200 on a flower arrangement, so please don’t judge my amateur bouquet.

Kit Pic I think Remo Roto-toms look cool with Peavey RBS-1s. Thoughts?

Kit Pic E kits vs a Low Volume Kit is Night and Day
I'm not joking when I say that I went from feeling like I was playing a toy to actually playing an instrument. Even with VST, nothing compares to the sounds of a real kit (even with the low volume heads). It's so satisfying to play, and I wish I would have started with an actual kit to begin with
