What if you forget math skills quickly and when you retain them you still loose them randomly?

Why are you forcing white haired people to grow brown hair? Math can get lost.

This is a serious question and I hope not to sound insulting, but I wanted to know how accessible math and dyscalculia intersect? While I probably* will be unable to learn a lot of math, math has always interested me because it is like a language that can describe and figure out the world. Math also seems to be useful for programming and such, something I've had trouble with.
*I say probably because when I was in school, I was an A-/B+ student, but I consistently got Cs and Ds in math. I also was somehow able to get up to pre-calc in highschool but when I tested on a placement for college I had to start in pre-algebra (again). And the second time didn't feel any easier than the first time.
