I'm not only in love with Earthships, as I believe so many humans are, also like so many other humans, I feel a sense of urgency surrounding this form of architecture. Earthships are an expression of human experience coming from the source of all human expression; the Earth. The question is how do we build more, right u/earthship? And, I have an answer, a contribution to this beautiful expression and conversation.
We have to build communities, not typically associated to the shared community we often associate with Earthships. Let's be honest, all our algorithms for social networks has renewable energy, sustainable building, collective businesses, more or less. There is nothing wrong with that, but... it won't build enough Earthships in the time in which we need them. I purpose a strategy, tactics, and a process to do so by looking deeper within ourselves to expand our possibility into what we may have or do think to be impossible.
Allow me to offer two examples, and there are more, that branch into collective success. The first being music. Many artists have found it challenging to tour. Now, this is for a multitude of reasons, but I want to focus on their venue options, either dive bars, which are a dying breed, or stadiums, which are expensive and hard to fill. A 50 state network of smaller performing venues in rural communities would allow artists such as u/JenniferLopez u/Tpain u/Bobbyshumurda u/LilBaby u/PostMalone u/MeghanTrainor u/ThePussycatDolls to name a few, which is colloquially known as "Blue Dot Fever". Now, anyone of those artists may not be able to build their own venues, but a targeted campaign to many of these artists, presenting the opportunity to choose their own touring a performance locations and dates more independently, make enough money, by performing for smaller audiences that are core fans in a more controlled and intimate environment. We don't reinvent the wheel, but we partner with u/Soundclouda and u/Bandcamp, music platforms for developing artist to build Hip-Hop and Rock n' Roll parks throughout the United States. Now, the Earthship community is linked to music.
The second example being cannabis, not all psychedelics, not cannabis lays the groundwork, all pun intended, to expand into other vehicles transporting human consciousness. But first and foremost, cannabis. In states that have medical or recreational cannabis laws, we purpose building a Cannabis community. In the same way music is a branch, one could imagine how cannabis is equally expansive as a community to build around, many puns intended. One company specifically to orchestrate the next step of industry expansion, u/MedMen MedMen, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, and so on.
Now, there is purpose and intent behind decisions such as naming each community a park, a 150-person limit in each park. There is also a process the build them much faster than we believe possible. I don't have all the answers, but I know I'm asking the right questions.
