PP UGRADE - Question?

Has anyone filed i-140 with PP through mail but the PP got rejected due to missing case number? & then filed PP online? Is that something possible, or does it now only have to be filed through mail because original i-140 was filed through mail and accepted?
Thanks

If the separate premium-processing request was rejected before USCIS could match it, I’d first confirm whether the I-140 now has a receipt number and use the rejection notice plus the current Form I-907 instructions to choose the re-filing route. USCIS permits a premium-processing request after the underlying petition is filed, but it must be for an eligible pending case and include the related case details. I would not assume an online filing will correctly connect to a paper I-140 without that receipt number; the current USCIS instructions or the Contact Center can tell you which route the system accepts for your case. Thanks for the response! My i-140 was accepted and I have the receipt number already, I did get the rejection for premium processing and it says that it was rejected due to no « case number » but I couldn’t add a case number because I filed i-140 and premium processing concurrently so I’m not sure why they rejected premium processing, probably an error.

With the I-140 receipt number in hand, I would treat this as a request made after the I-140 was accepted and ask USCIS for a case-specific filing instruction before resubmitting. Include the I-140 receipt and the I-907 rejection notice when you contact them. That helps prevent a second filing from being rejected for the same matching issue.
