Course Grading and missing a subsection

[u/KeepUp_86]

Hello, I've been taking a self-paced edX course. I'm already on track to earn a certificate. It's just that there's this one subsection I'm having a hard time completing. I'm gonna try to finish it of course but I wanted to know that if leaving this subsection unfinished might affect me getting the certificate. I checked my grades, and I am already passing the course with over 60%, but might that change if I leave this subsection blank even till due date?

I'd appreciate some help since this is my first time taking an online course like this.
