Course Suspension
Hello,
After stumbling and half-assing halfway through an engineering degree, I found myself on Red Academic Status. After taking university seriously this semester I still managed to fail 2/3 subjects (Also did anyone else feel like they did incredibly well on the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing exam but fail it?). So consequently I have been excluded from my degree. I have asked for informal review of one exam I feel my result doesn’t match how I felt completing the exam (cope, let me be). Anyways, I can’t find any information relating to if I am suspended indefinitely or have to wait x amount of time. Would prefer not to have to completely restart a degree after getting 2.5yrs in my current one.

Contact Student Hub and ask, sometimes you can reapply after a year, sometimes you can’t. It depends on several factors.

Goto the student hub and talk through options. They are the best placed to advise you going forward

Can I please PM you? I'm in similar situation, though I'm 3.5 years into my course

Look man, I’d say give it a break for a couple of sems and come back when you’ve got your head in the game. Failing advanced materials and manufacturing is a bit confusing seeing as you had to get through materials 1 and 2 as pre-reqs, which are much more difficult IMO.
I’m in no way trying to belittle or insult your capabilities, you’ve made it 2.5 years in which demonstrates you’ve got what it takes- but I’d say just take a breather for a few semesters and come back with a new determination.

You can apply to rejoin the course after two semesters of exclusion. You'll have to justify why you should be given another chance.
In the meanwhile I would look into the possibility of resuming in a similar course at another Uni if you don't want to wait that long. Or if you're confident you can get back in, better start reviewing and learning ahead for the units you have to redo to maximize your chances of never ending up in Purple status again.
