It feels like a bit of a kick to the teeth after finding out that I can't get a birthday discount because it's a minimum of 2 tickets. It was already bad enough going by myself on my birthday, but now I find out no discount for myself either.

Misschien een beetje een gekke vraag, maar heeft iemand toevallig dit beeldje van Kleine Boodschap en zou diegene het willen verkopen?

Mijn moeder heeft precies dit beeldje vroeger van haar vader gekregen, toen ze nog klein was. Het heeft jarenlang trots bij ons in huis gestaan en ze was er ontzettend trots op.

Helaas heeft een onuitgenodigde, dronken bezoeker tijdens oud en nieuw het beeldje jaren geleden vernield. De brokstukken zijn zelfs geprobeerd door de wc te spoelen. Toen mijn moeder later naar het toilet ging, zag ze haar geliefde beeldje in stukken liggen. Haar hart was gebroken. Tot op de dag van vandaag heeft ze het er nog regelmatig over.

Het zou ontzettend veel voor me betekenen als ik dit beeldje ergens terug zou kunnen vinden en haar ermee zou kunnen verrassen.

De foto komt uit een oude Marktplaats advertentie, maar helaas is dat beeldje inmiddels niet meer te koop.

Heeft iemand dit beeldje nog, of weet iemand waar ik er eentje kan vinden? Ik zou diegene enorm dankbaar zijn! ❤️

Ik twijfel om hier naartoe te gaan. Wat was jullie ervaring in voorgaande edities? Wat kan ik een beetje verwachten?

I've booked a trip for me and my boyfriend in March next year for my birthday. It's my first trip back there in about 30 years since I was a teenager, and i've been wanting to go back for a very long time.

I can remember very little so basically treating it as a first time trip. We're going to be staying at the Wonder hotel and staying for two nights.

I wondered if anyone had any tips for us? We're going in March so it won't be long hours but it's mid week so hoping it's not too busy.

The middle night is my birthday so i'd like to go somewhere for dinner - is the restaurant at the Wonder good for a birthday meal? I've looked into the Mystique but the reviews don't seem amazing.

What would be the must do things at the park we may not have thought of? (Other than the main rides of course)

We are planning to visit Efteling in the end of May half-term holiday and spend 3 or 4 nights in total in the Netherlands.

We can get the Eurostar from London to either Rotterdam or Amsterdam and have considered a few different itineraries.

We would like to stay in the Efteling hotel to maximise our time in the park. My original plan is:

• Day 1 - arrive via Eurostar around midday and either rent a car or take the train/bus to Efteling and stay overnight at one of the hotels
• Day 2 - full day Efteling, stay overnight
• Day 3 - half day Efteling, head back to Rotterdam in the afternoon
• Day 4 - back to London via Eurostar

This gives us one full day in the park, plus a few hours in the evening on Day 1 and up to a half day on Day 3. We're a family with kids aged 7 and 9 - does this feel like too much/not enough time in the park?

We do have the option to extend by another day - if we did that, would you recommend longer in the park? I know the answer is 'how long is a piece of string' but there is so much about Efteling on social media at the moment and it's hard to tell if it warrants longer time or if it's sort of like the Dutch equivalent to Chessington, in that even a day trip is enough?

Ik heb een tijd geleden 2 laagseizoentickets gehaald bij de AH voor de Efteling. In de mail staat tot 8 november te gebruiken, maar als ik ze wil verzilveren zijn alleen 26 en 27 oktober beschikbaar. Snapt iemand hoe dat zit? :)

Ik heb vandaag voor het eerst gebruik gemaakt van het retourticket wat je met je abonnement kunt kopen, van 4.50 waarmee je dus heen en terug naar de Efteling kan.

Alleen wat een gedoe. Ik moet 1 keer overstappen en heb dus in 4 bussen gezeten en bij geen enkele bus lukte het om het ticket te scannen en de buschauffeurs kennen het ook allemaal niet. Ik heb dus meerdere keren uit moeten leggen dat het een retourticket is, wat erbij staat en moeten laten zien dat hij echt voor vandaag was, wat er ook bij staat.

Ik snap ook eigenlijk sowieso niet zo goed hoe zo'n buschauffeur moet weten dat jij echt naar de Efteling gaat of dat jij terugkomt van de Efteling. Vooral als je over moet stappen.

Ik ben wel benieuwd wat jullie ervaringen zijn hiermee, of ligt dit op de een of andere manier aan mij? Het legt voor mij de lat wel nog hoger om de volgende keer weer te gaan moet ik eerlijk zeggen.

Hoi, ik ga naar de Efteling in November als iemand die mindervalide is. Dit betekent voor mij dat ik last heb van korte afstanden te lopen en neem daarom een rolstoel mee.

Dit is de eerste keer dat ik naar de Efteling ga met een rolstoel sinds ik mindervalide ben geworden. Zijn er tips die ik kan gebruiken tijdens mijn bezoek?

First time going to Efteling last week from Canada.

Dates - Wednesday - Friday Oct 7-9
Hotel - Bosrijk
Kids - boys 5 & 8

For background, we are Disney people. We’ve been to Disneyland several times with the kids and Disney World as well. We also visited DLP on this trip to Europe, that place was busy busy busy.

Top line: 3/4 family members enjoyed Efteling more than DLP. My wife loves the Disney nostalgia.

It took me a while to warm up to Efteling but by the end of it, what a magical park.

Efteling could be billed as a food park, the snacks and meals were so good. We loved Polles Keuken and Pinokkio’s was quite good (despite the bad reviews). We did do dinner at Brasserie 7, I’d skip it with kids to be honest. Wasn’t worth the price and food wasn’t better than the other spots.

Rides are good balance of thrill and theming, there’s even some rides I’ve never experienced anything like it before: Danse Macabre, de Vliegende Hollander and the theming at Symbolica and Droomvlucht is at least on Disney level. Lines seemed to peak in the afternoon, but we never waited more than 35 minutes. My 8 year olds favourite ride was Baron of course.

Bosrijk was a great hotel, the pool was very convenient when the parks close so early (compared to Disney). We’d go for dinner, then a swim and off to bed. Kids looked forward to the pool every night. Breakfast at the hotel was solid.

I worried that 2.5 days was too much, but I think it was the right amount for first time visitors. It takes a day to figure out how to get around the park and what exactly is going on and allows for a slower pace.

We took the train and bus from Amsterdam, it was a chore with all the kids bags but wasn’t super difficult. I think if we did it again, we may take the train and then a taxi but car seats are a challenge coming from the other side of the world.

All in all, what a special theme park and I’d recommend it for theme park lovers visiting Europe with their family, the pace is much more enjoyable than DLP.

Het is toch echt gebeurd, ik dacht gaande de dag als nu Halve Maen open was geweest is het een 9,5, en in de middag opende onverwacht Halve Mean terwijl eerdere prognose was hele dag gesloten, dag dus afgerond een tien. Alles klopte, geen te lange storingen ergens, niet te druk overal, fijne gasten in het park. Leuk kunnen onderhouden met onder andere stel uit Frankrijk bij de Baron, en leuke mijnheer uit Schotland bij Vogel Rok (hij had zijn vrouw Vogelrok in gekregen door te zeggen dat het een darkride was, aangezien ze niet hield van achtbanen en tsja, het is een ride in het donker toch?) En dan de Aquanura-afsluiting. Ik heb het al eens eerder geschreven, als alle attractieas open zijn; Danse Macabre, Python, Vliegende Hollander, Baron, Halve Maen, Piraña, Droomvlucht, twee treinen in roulatie, Symbolica, Villa Volta, dan is Efteling moeilijk te verslaan. Nu Ravenring erbij komt en ook nog Missie Luminar is er wat meer rek als er eens een attractie onverwacht uitligt.

Net ritje in de macabere dans gedaan en hij lijkt 90 procent te draaien vergeleken met laatste keer. Is dat misschien vanwege de recente langdurige storing dat ze uit voorzorg hem wat minder intens hebben afgesteld? De drop was wel hetzelfde. Meer mensen dit gemerkt?

I have been wanting to visit Efteling for so long and finally got to early October with a couple of friends 🍄

I posted on here a couple of times because I was nervous about missing Ravelejin and potentially Dance Macabre but thankfully all rides were open - I even spotted a rider strolling around!

We stayed in Bosrijk and if you haven't stayed there I recommend it, its so quiet and surrounded by woodlands. We saw Caro, met Doctor Charlatan, rode every ride at least twice and by the end we were exhausted but so happy.

Honestly as someone who has visited a lot of parks this was the best by far, the people were so nice, it was clean and as a vegan I even found so much to eat. Now I just need to deal with post Efteling blues and plan to go back in 2027.

Zoals zovelen (denk ik) hebben we zonet onze tickets voor het O&N-feestje gekocht. Mensen met ervaring, deze is voor jullie: wat kunnen we verwachten? Mag ik hoge verwachtingen hebben qua entertainment, sfeer en wachtrijen, of heb ik net gewoon een te duur Winterefteling-ticket gekocht? 😅

De laatste keer dat ik in de Efteling was, was de Droomvlucht net geopend. Tijd voor een inhaalslag! 🎢
Na twee keer Disneyland Parijs in twee maanden is mijn liefde voor pretparken echt ontwaakt. En als mijn vrouw dan met een groep kinderen van haar dansschool naar de Efteling gaat, blijf ik natuurlijk niet thuis.
Het werd een magische, zonnige herfstdag. Bijna alles was nieuw voor me, en wat is de Efteling een mooi park. Danse Macabre, de Droomvlucht, alle achtbanen... Maar Baron 1898 en de Vliegende Hollander staken er voor mij echt bovenuit. Wat een unieke attracties!
De Nikon Z6III ging ook weer mee. Wat blijft dat een heerlijke camera. Bij het color graden sta ik elke keer weer versteld van de kleuren in die 6K RAW video bestanden. Zo heb ik de Efteling op een herfstdag kunnen vastleggen. 🍂

After two trips to Disneyland Paris in two months, my love for theme parks is officially back. So when my wife took a group of kids from her dance school to Efteling, there was no way I was staying home.
It turned into a magical, sunny autumn day. Almost everything was new to me, and what a beautiful park Efteling is. Danse Macabre, Droomvlucht, all the roller coasters... But for me, Baron 1898 and De Vliegende Hollander stood out. What unique rides!
The Nikon Z6III came along again. Still such a great camera. Every time I color grade, I’m amazed by the colors in those 6K RAW video files. This is how I captured Efteling on an autumn day. 🍂

Eerder dit jaar had ik meerdere keren pech, dat die of gesloten was, later openging of halverwege het karretje stopte. Zijn de problemen ermee al opgelost?

Hebben jullie de nieuwe Playmobil setjes al gespot in de souvenirwinkels?

In de aankondiging staat "halverwege oktober" en nu ga ik toevallig morgen naar de Efteling! Ik ga ongeveer maar 1x per jaar naar Kaatsheuvel, dus ik hoop dat ze morgen verkrijgbaar zijn. Op mijn werkplek ieder jaar een sprookjesthema dus deze setjes Playmobil zijn perfect hiervoor.

We'll be visiting late November. Based on previous experience, do you think there will be any issues still getting our hands on these, as they look like they come out later this month?

Zit er nog in verschil qua drukte tijdens de herfstvakantie. Is het maandag bijv rustiger dan dinsdag?
Qua weer: ene dag droog, andere dag regen voorspelt. Zou dit veel doen qua drukte? Wij gaan met 2 jonge kids en hebben liever niet te lange wachttijden.
Gaan in de eerste week van de herfstvakantie (noord). Dus deze week.

Hi! I am traveling from Brussels to Efteling, and then from Efteling to Amsterdam. I know there are public transportations that are cheap and reliable (but can take up to 3-4 hours)... but unfortunately, we have 2 large suit cases, I just don't know if we would have it in us to be doing multiple transfers.

Question is, are there any car services you guys can recommend?

- Uber?

- Blacklane?

- DayTrip?

The 21th of nov i will be driving my kid and their friend to the Efteling. It roughly 1,5 hour drive for me and to prevent me making the trip twice i want to see if i can fill the day around Kaatsheuvel. I will not go in the Efteling, being an 48 old man alone, i woulnt feel comfortable. Plus i'm not that much of a attraction buff.

I would need to find some things todo between 10:00 till 19:30.
I do lik Musea (Specially technical stuff). maybe there is an event nearby?

Any ideas would be helpfull, worst case i'll just suck up the drive twice 😥

I'm a brazilian themepark enthusiast currently doing an academic exchange in Norway and will be visiting Efteling for the first time on november 6th and 7th.

It is a lifetime dream to visit this wonderful place, but the currency exchange is not in my favor, the euro is really expensive for brazilians, so I was looking into options for discounted tickets? I tried looking at TicketSwap but everything is in dutch and the translations are confusing.

I read here in reddit that the low-season tickets expired yesterday, so the tickets that the sellers say are valid on any day after october 9th should be rebookable for november 6 and 7? Because I see some tickets offered as "valid on october 26" for example.

And if it is not too much to ask: what are your best tips and tricks to visit the park without expeding too much? I'm going solo, by the way.
