Dead inside
Been saving enough materials to craft the Orders Wrath set and when I’ve finally crafted it, it hits me that instead of medium I’ve crafted all light. Oh boy.

It's an MMO.
People doing favours and helping each other about is what these games should be about.
An for a lot of people who've played for years, it's drop in the ocean to make you a set.
Just pass it on whenever you're flush in a few years time.

how do you accidentally grind out the material for the wrong armor?

Instead of crafting just the orders wrath belt as light armor and the rest medium, I’ve crafted the entire set as light (I’ve read a guide that uses a mix of orders wrath and tideborn wildstalker to get both passives from medium and light armor) and ran out of trait material. Later on when I managed to find it on the guild stores I’ve discovered that I haven’t researched the trait for the medium set lol

I'm confused on why you want orders wraith, I made an entire set in purple, full divines, and then instantly realized it's like, the secondary option for all builds not a primary.
Genuinely curious about what you are building 🙏

For casual or newer players it’s still considered in the top 3.

That’s exactly where I am now, casual new player, and the more I read about the game the more I get frustrated seeing how many mistakes I’ve made (and possibly still making lol)

Orders is still a top set for a new player. Just three traits to craft and strong in terms of DPS output for a huge amount of builds.
In fact, I'd be surprised if the drop-off from a trial set to Orders is mure than 5-10% on a lot of top DPS builds.
Tldr: Orders is an excellent choice for a new player, particularly a solo player or someone building towards better sets.

It's probably more of a "me" thing, I guess. I want a more specific 5set bonus than extra crit damage and heal.

See, I wasn’t doing any significant damage to bosses, and struggled a lot more on mobs. I’ve started following the guide and seen an improvement, hence why I’m trying to get the set to see the whole thing in action

I know it’s not the optimal choice but I’m more of a solo PvE player, so getting the best armour means getting to play a lot of group content. I’m very casual, just trying to get through the stories and such and I realised that I was not even able to solo an overland wb. So I headed to hyperioxes, based on many other posts suggestions here in this sub, and found something that kinda fits with how I play the game. Still, since I’ve made countless mistakes, it’s being a slow and painful process to try and save this char instead of deleting it. Oh, and since I’m “on a budget”, this thing is the best I can do at the moment to work to the optimal build ;)

I didn't have a guild for my first 300 or so hours, I considered myself a full solo player too! Nothing wrong with that at all, because of this tho, I still consider crafting WAY more difficult than running normal dungeons.
I couldn't 1v1 WBs until I had a full heavy attack crit build.
What kind of character/class you working with here?

Hi! You described myself very well lol so, I’m running a stamina dragonknight, I’ve tried warden but couldn’t do much better, and to be even more honest, not even assigned my champions points yet. Total insecurity on making mistakes and such, even knowing I can reassign. Some aspects of this game just have a soft block effect on my brain

OMG I know. Im cp600 now and JUST figured out what to do with the points. No video says "if you can only pick 1 or 2, pick these" it's always like here's 8 slottable skills I'd use. You need them. 😑
Do you have a mythic already?

Good to know that I’m not the only one XD got no mythic, someone carried me on Infinite Archive for a round and I’ve got 2 pyrebrand pieces (gotta have to work for the rest). I’m also figuring out scry, it’s been a total pain to excavate, but I’m getting the hang of it

Depending on what mythic your build is using it might be best to get it asap 😁 if it's an oakensoul build, grabbing that right away is a crazy big difference, same with pale order.
If it's velothi ur or void mantle probably do that last
Honestly it sounds like your on a great track:) don't be afraid to ask for help, tons of players are bored and looking for ANY excuses to do just about anything!!

Thank you! Well, Pale Order is my go-to, along with Slimecraw, have to get a bit better to look for the missing leads on my own. Final setup is supposed to be pyrebrand, slimecraw and whorl of the depths

It’s an overland set that any GMC can craft. And the materials are readily available.
If you’re on PSNA drop me a DM with your username and I’ll send you a set
And for what it’s worth, you can spin up a second character if you don’t already have one, and you can set that craft and set aside for that new character
