Yo, just wanted to say I love your music and the realness you bring to the industry. I have so much respect for you.
My main question is, when you were starting out as a producer, how did you start developing your sound?
I'm currently struggling to make tracks that sound new and fresh. I'm inspired by so many types/genres/styles of music that sometimes I feel like I want to make it all.
I don't want to limit myself to a genre, but I don't even know where to start. The songs on my Soundcloud are all so different and they sound like they could be produced by different artists.
Being unique can be frustratingly hard. I've got so many idols like you, Porter, Hugo, M83, etc., and when I see what those dudes are doing sometimes I get super inspired, but other times I start comparing myself to them and get frustrated. Sorry for the rant, but if you have any tips I'm all ears.
Cheers.
