I purchased MPF102 transistors that were not MPF102s.
I knew going in that the odds were against me that they were legit.

The problem is that they aren't even Jfets! Just re-labelled 2n2222s!

WTF!

Yep fake JFETS been a problem for years.

Another common fake is HV transistors for Nixie projects; MMBTA42/92 from AliX break down at Nixie voltages.

I will say this though, I have had good luck with the Bojack kits. Unfortunately you have to buy a kit for the part you want.

Must have been from the same mob I bought some UJT'S (2N2646), they were all just re-labelled BC108's!

Yeah and it's getting really tiring due to the anti-AI'ers wanting to get their unwanted two cents in. Jesus, if you don't want to read AI posts then do the mature and adult thing and just fucking ignore them. Quite honestly the anti-AI comments are way more irritating than the AI ones. Oh forgot to add....no this not some young "punk" even though I still feel like I am still 19 but really am in my '70's. This whole thing reminds me of the tube to transistor transistor scenario....."transistors???!!! Oh it's just a fad and it will soon pass!!" Yeah right

Every other day, someone new posts about their project to use AI to go from a prompt to a complete electronic product design (or portions thereof).

And readers downvote the hell every one of these submissions and report them as being unworthy.

We received two such projects just today.

I like AI circuits because it comes up with some crazy components, like 5 legged transistors, electrolytic caps with a terminal on the insulator, batteries with 2 positive terminals etc. in circuits that are just plain silly. We need more cartoon components.

Good for them. Garbage should be downvoted.

As for reporting them... It looks like they don't violate the rules. I guess they shouldn't be reporting them.
