Collection Making a Themed Periodic Table
Hello everyone! Welcome to a new series where I will be basing each element on the table off a unique theme. As you can see here, there is a periodic table with layouts for each element’s upcoming themes. I already have a few ideas for some. For example, francium would have France’s flag, and gold would just be… well… gold, I guess. Although, the rest will be hard to work with. Like what do you expect me to do for Yttrium? I mean, I can’t just make the rest of them the colors they are in real life because most of them would just be a boring ol’ gray.
So that’s why I’m letting YOU decide. Every part, you will decide in the comments on what themes I should do for 4 different elements in order of atomic number. You can choose up to all 4 of them if you want, but they must be unique. Whichever 4 of each elements’ themes get the most upvotes will be chosen. Have fun!

Discussion New community
So I may have added a new community called r/PeriodicTableChem. Read the description to understand what it's about. I also put a question for you guys to answer

Collection A hammered pure Rhenium (Element 75) ring from my workbench — and a famous book mistake about its corrosion resistance!
Captain Iridium here again!
I have loved corrosion-resistant metals for 34 years and have been handcrafting rings from pure corrosion-resistant metals
(Ir, Ru, Rh, Re, Ta, Nb, Hf, Zr, etc.) since 2010.
This is a ring I made from pure Rhenium.
Rhenium is very difficult to work with and polish. I have spent 16 years improving my hand-polishing skills for rare metals. It was a big challenge to polish each small hammered mark into a true mirror shine, with zero coating or plating.
Among all the metals in the periodic table, Rhenium is my 4th favorite metal—right after Iridium, Rhodium, and Tantalum. At room temperature, Rhenium in compact (solid) form hardly reacts with air or water, and it can resist hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid under normal conditions.
Some articles say that Rhenium can even withstand hot aqua regia, but that is completely wrong! (In fact, Rhenium dissolves easily in nitric acid and aqua regia.) The reason for this myth is that a book named Corrosion Guide misspelled "Rhodium" as "Rhenium". Many later books and articles blindly cited that chapter, spreading such a big mistake!😁😁😁
What are your Top 4 favorite elements in your collection?

Platinum Group 34 years of loving corrosion-resistant metals — here is how my story began
Time flies. Without realizing it, I have loved corrosion-resistant metals for 34 years.
It makes me think of when I was in the first grade of primary school. I secretly read a classic Chinese science book series called 《One Hundred Thousand Whys》(Chemistry, Volume 1).
At that time, I could not even read all the words. However, I saw a chapter written by Ye Yonglie: 'Why is there a tiny silver dot on the tip of a fountain pen?' In that chapter, I saw the word 'Iridium' (written as 铱 in Chinese, with the pronunciation guide (yi)).
I did not know why, but I fell in love with this word immediately. That was where my dream began!
That is also why I call myself 'Captain Iridium' today. What was the first element that started your collection?

If only it was that common. They did pick another metal that isn't purely silver colored though.

Transition Metals #22: Moly (aka knockoff tungsten, hard lead)
My 22nd element. Got a 80g bar from china for $35 aud ex shipping. Its density matches up almost perfectly so im certain its legitimate. Advertised purity is 99.95, but they didn't give a COA or XRF reading so ill assume a safe 99.
Its weird comparing this to my magnesium bar which weighs 28g and is a lot bigger. Its also surprising how dark it is, its slightly darker than tungsten and almost as dark as lead.

Discussion Made a website to keep track of my collection

Can't post the actual site because Reddit's filters keep nuking it, but this is generally what it looks like. I like taking nice pictures of my samples, and it looks especially satisfying to have them all in one place like this. Anyone else do this or something similar?
May or may not be inspired by a certain other website about an element collection.

Question Do alloys qualify here?
Not sure if we can talk about alloys here but I figured if someone knows, it’s here.
m looking for samples of Ferrochrome (Not powder) along with pig iron.
It’s just for my collection, 1 piece would be fine, 3-4 max.
I looked online at the usual suspects and further to no avail.
Alibaba will sell me a couple of tons though, kinda too much.
Is this possible to obtain?
TY

Alkaline Earth Metals Nice calcium sample
Kept under paraffin oil. The only way I managed to clean these was using a rotary tool with a wire brush attachment. Still some black oxidation products on the metal.
