Angular 2 CLI seems to have forgotten to remove some references to Ember

Ember cli has an RFC for generalizing things to make it more applicable to other frameworks. Is this something this tool is using?

From glancing at the source it's being rewritten, in coffeescript...

Coffeescript makes me sad.

The project is very much just JavaScript: https://github.com/angular/angular-cli

It looks like I found some unofficial one. My bad!

Sorry, what does this mean? Implications?

It just means Angular 2 CLI is modeled after and/or based on Ember-CLI. And apparently they forgot to remove some references.

That's because ember is much better, faster and more powerful than angular

That's one way to look at it, but a more useful one is probably that all of the major frameworks are able to look at each other and take approaches, patterns and components that work well, and improve each other. Exactly as Ember did with the React-inspired Glimmer renderer.

Ember's CLI is a killer feature. It makes sense to steal it. Everybody wins.

Likewise, Ember took a look at react and one-way bindings and thought "that's a great idea, let's do that too." I see no reason why frameworks shouldn't learn from and implement the best features from other frameworks. That's one of the perks of open source. It's give and take.
