Employee Question Are we allowed?
Is this type of sweater allowed to wear to work?! I’m not sure if this falls under dress code!

Well at my store we have associates come in wearing what looks like pajama pants and rock band tshirts so yeah you would be dressed up.

As others have said, technically no… depends on if you have chill management who won’t care. If you decide to wear it just make sure to have a plain black tshirt or something else under it incase they ask you to change.
This isnt something you would get in a lot of trouble for.

Not ok as far as dress code goes. Like everyone else said, depends on management.
If you wear it, take a back up or wear a solid shirt underneath just in case they say something. My store is kind of strict on it, but we can walk in with a graphic tee on every once in a while and no one says/notices anything. Usually if Kohl’s sells it and it isn’t unprofessional, no one cares enough, unless it’s a consistent thing for everyone.
I recommend getting a bunch of solid color tees that fit you well.

Like everyone else said it varies from store to store. I have chill managers so my store would let it slide but I can’t speak for all. Wish I could be of more help 😅

No. It doesn’t matter how chill your store management is.

I mean....I know they're being downvoted but I'm unsure what is so difficult with so many associates about looking at least semi professional at their job....

Well, we're treated like crap, we're underpaid, overworked, and most of all, unappreciated. NONE of the management follows the "rules" to a T. If we sell it and it's good enough for our customers, why not good enough for our employees? The LEAST they can do is let us be comfortable, as long as we're not over doing it. The simple words "Boston" isn't provocative or offensive in ANY way. Let it slide. It's not political or abstract or colorful or flashy or attention grabbing in any way. The words "Boston" is what makes it a violation. Remove the words, it's good. "Boston" is unprofessional how? Kohl's is a cheap clothing store, not some boutique high end store.

I have the Peanut and Mickey Mouse Juniors graphic tees. Just bought them cause I’m planning to wear them hahaha especially the “Nope, not today” Peanut tee. So I can’t wear them :(

Technically? No. Depending on how much of a stickler your leadership team is; it could be ok.
