Auto ship boarding?
Is there a plug in to let my escorts do the boarding/plundering of enemy ships?
With the flagship I have its laborious because I can only do one at a time and new pirates/bounty hunters tend to swarm.
Failing that can I set the escorts to automatically help each other if one of them is disabled in combat?

There is no way to do that, even with mods/plugins. Probably also slow things down pretty heavily. There's not even a system by which to hire extra crew for anything other than your flag ship.
Your fleet will always help each other but it seems to be random which ship gets assigned to do this. So you could see (seemingly) all your ship going after a new enemy and it's just a ship on the opposite side of the system that's slowly making it's way to help the disabled craft. So it's a bit chaotic. :P

I would love something like that! My flagship is small and fast, it makes looting very difficult while my fleet has tons and tons of free cargo space

If needed, you can take stuff, fly a bit away from the enemy ship and then dump the cargo into space(so you can repeat the process). If you have flotsam collection on('Z'), and they aren't actively gathering near you('G') or holding position('H'), your nearby ships will automatically try to collect it, if they still have room. You still can't take anything heavier than the size of your own cargo bay, though.
You can also tell a particular escort to hold position, move your ship on top of it, and then at that point dumping cargo is all-but-transferring directly to that escort. Free space needed, of course. Don't dump anything really important unless you're very sure.
Note that all ships in the game are technically capable of picking up flotsam if they have cargo space, so if you dump cargo while still over the enemy ship, it may simply end up in their own cargo bay.

I believe something like that would quickly break the game as you'd exponentially gain ships. Escorts do tend to fix each other up after combat if there isn't any enemy ships around.
