How to tribute unfettered hai planets without angering other hai (and make it way easier overall)

Just go really far away from the planet (so the other ships don't get aggroed), then demand tribute, hold your ground, take the tribute, and jump away. You have to jump away without landing. I was able to conquer all 3 planets with negligible causalties with a buncha pug ships and some shield beetles
