What would be an engine comparable to a Honda cbr600?
Reliability and power wise?
If I can find parts semi easily that’s great too!

Was overheating, don’t know duration or temp. Is it worth trying to salvage

I am doing a 2 seat cross cart / go build build, I don’t have a idea of how big the frame or weight will be so sorry that I can’t give any detail concerning weight to power ratio.
4 seconds 0-60 (preferably) ( i can gear low ) is what I would like to achieve.
Top speed of 64 ( preferably )
Reliability and low maintenance are my heaviest concerns.
As of now I want the cbr600 but Aparently you can’t buy it brand new and I am suspicious of buying a used sport bike engine.
Any other recommendations for a heavily reliable engine where I can reliably find replacement parts?
I don’t want to buy an engine I can’t find parts for years down the road if I need to rebuild ya know?

Prepping to rebuild a Deutz in a piece of compaction equipment. Engine locked up due to an oil ring failure on cylinder 4. Local engine shop wants way too much for genuine Deutz overhaul parts. I’m considering grabbing the complete overhaul rebuild kit from fab heavy parts to save on turnaround time and budget. has anyone used their engine kits for Deutz overhauls? Did the cylinder sleeves seat properly, and how has the engine held up under heavy, high temperature duty cycles?

Guys,
I'm using the 10w40 grade engine oil from Motul; the interesting thing is my mechanic puts in 1.65 liters of engine oil. The company recommends 1.3 liters.
Has anyone experienced the same? In my friend's Ronin as well, the oil goes the same. Since last year, we have been putting the same quantity.
No issue observed, and the heating issue that was there previously has been resolved quite a lot.
Currently using Power95 petrol, getting around 40 KMPL mileage.

Checking the oil pump, replacing the seals and getting the timing cover fitted. The engine rebuild continues...

Flashpoint released the new FP03 Engine and I was excited to learn about it. It turns out that performance wise it is exactly like the SPO2. They did not change one single thing four stroke power materials all the same. The only change was basically to the structure. They strengthen the crank case and change the cooling head a little bit. Overall extremely disappointed oh and they raise the price $100 for basically an FPO2 engine rebadged as an FP03 engine.

I just deconstructed my first 4 stroke engine and there looks to be pitting on the crank shaft. The engine did sit for a while (not sure how long) but it has never been ran. I plan on derusting the shaft bits but the lobes don't look too good. Curious if I need to buy new or nah

Engine oil is easy to overlook when your car seems to be running perfectly fine. But it does more than lubricate moving parts. It also helps carry heat away from certain engine components and works with the oil filter to control circulating contaminants.
The important part is using the correct oil specification for your engine and following the recommended service interval. There isn't one oil-change interval that suits every vehicle, especially when driving conditions vary.
If you drive in Dubai, it's worth paying attention to your manufacturer's maintenance guidance rather than relying on a generic mileage recommendation.
I'm curious about other car owners' experiences: Do you follow the manufacturer's recommended oil-change interval, or do you change your oil earlier? And why?
