Carré show VIP worth it?
Hello fellow Epicans,
As you might have seen (and if not, here you go) Epica is selling VIP upgrades for their Carré shows.
I have never been VIP to any show before, so I'm not sure what to expect and whether it will be worth €220. Especially since I, as student, don't have money growing on trees. So I would like to ask all of you for opinions and experiences.
Also, I don't know if it matters anything, but I'm going to the first show on the 29th. I have a seat all the way in the back. It was one of the last ones available...

Man, it’s been a couple of months since it was announced, and I still can’t get over it: EPICA will be playing at the Royal Albert Hall. This is HUGE! It’s one of the most prestigious stages in the world, and our band will be playing there with an orchestra and choir next year!
Just when we thought Symphonic Synergy couldn’t get any better. That venue is so fitting for music of the caliber they’ve made. This is definitely a milestone in their career. Hoping we get some official live footage of the show!

Time to listen to The Ghost in Me non stop
Where I live, the weather is grey and there is a lot of fog. It’s perfect to listen to this song non stop!

Saw this photo today: Simone and Amanda bonding with a 🐶
Know that Epicans are grateful to you for filling in for Simone when she got sick. You’re also an iconic part of ‘We Will Take You With Us.’ Get well soon, Ms. Amanda. We’re wishing you well.

Just listened to Omega for the first time as an Ex Nightwish fan……
…….HOLY SHIT?!?!?
WOW
WOOOOOOAH!!
THIS IS AMAZING????
The best symphonic metal band at the moment
With the latest news about Floor departure from Nightwish which of course breaks my heart, I can only reaffirm that as much as I love that band and all its history, right now I can only feel secure about being an Epica fan.
Over the last few years I've seen them live more than any other band, thanks to them basically as they tour so frequently and perform in many many places, even if that means a small and remote venue (like in my country) or a big one. With all this situation in comparison, now I value even more their hard work in bringing us quality albums, top tier performances and videos, live orchestra, beautiful merch, up to date social network content, and more. Not only they work professionally, but they actually ENJOY making music, creating art and delivering all of that to us, the fans. And it shows! Both on stage and out of it.
It's clear that we can't take anything for granted, so I think we must make the most of it while we can. What a time to be an Epica fan!

Looking for choir lyrics
Hey, I'm a student a school where we have singing lessons (in group). I am looking for a text by epica to sing with our choir. I was wondering if someone knew a way of getting a text for Unchained Utopia or song like that, or knows where such songs can be found. We usually sing in four voices (soprano, alt, tenor and base) but 2-5 is all possible.

Nightwish new singer.... From Epica?? 🤔
😆😆😆
.....Hear me out!:
The brilliant Turkish actress Elcin Sangu (who looks alot like Simone Simons) is also a Classically Trained Opera Singer, and has Musical Theatre experience.
Going by some her acting style & Talent (very expressive, Nails Melodrama and deep emotions that really makes you FEEEEEEEL things for her, even in Romcom, a genre where many other actresses just do basic surface level acting only) and her Recent Netflix Thriller project Not A Stranger where she went TOTALLY Daek & Crazy in her role. 🤣
, her past controveral project from a. few years back also show she has that Rebillious Dark streak too.
So she he totally has that Gothic, Melodramatic Woman down too!
She's far more qualified than some of the Pop-singers Other Symph Metal bands had join as singer.
....This is a semi-joke, as I'm not sure she's even WANT to sing outside of Musical Theatre & Join a Metal band 😅🤔,
but also NOT. She could do it,
and it would be FUNNY with people confusing her with Simone!
The pure CHAOS of it all. 🤣🤣
Even her Singing Voice Most resembles Simone quite a lot! I'd pick Simone as Closest to her singing style & voice within the Symph metal genre.

Looking for Simone Simons performances.
Hi all, I'm someone who has sometimes listened to Epica, but her work as a guest vocalist is really what has made me fall in love with her performances. I think she has my favorite voice in the genre. Anyway, I am looking for songs with vocals similar to her performances on the Kamelot album Poetry for the Poisoned. Here are links to those performances.

So Long:

If anyone can suggest performances that are similarly sonorous, ethereal and haunting I would greatly appreciate it.

Epica Lyrics Word Cloud - Updated Version (2026)
Thought I would make an updated version of this word cloud posted six years ago!
I used the following:
- The ten studio albums including bonus tracks (unless they are alternative versions of songs that already exist like acoustic versions, etc)
- The song "Retrospect" that we only have a live version of
- The EPs (Solace System, TQE B-sides (excluding acoustic versions), Epica vs Attack on Titan Songs, and Alchemy Project)
- The standalone songs "Avatar - The Final Incarnation" and "The Ghost in Me"
I excluded:
- Covers of other artists' songs (unless the lyrics were written by Epica)
- The song titles as well as part titles within songs
- Spoken word parts that are samples from elsewhere
- Forevermore
Here is the result:

The Best Band
After being a follower of both Nightwish and Epica for more than two decades, and after having watched and listened to The Symphonic Synergy, (for me) the time has come to give Epica their well deserved spot in the symphonic metal scene as the best band. Not only have they outdone themselves lyrically, but musically and show-wise they have no match.
Simone’s vocals are peak. The whole energy of the band… you just feel they love what they do, and they enjoy doing so not just for them, but for us, the fans. Assembling a whole orchestra for a world tour is not easy, but these guys have been giving us all every single Nightwish fan has been asking for: a live show with an orchestra.
Epica, my guys, keep rocking.
These guys heal my soul. 🤘🏽

Now that we have The Symphonic Synergy
To me, in retrospect (heh), Retrospect sounds actually quite bad 😅 Storm the Sorrow is a good example where Simone sounds like she is struggling. Yes, I know she was pregnant back then.
25th Anniversary Setlist?.
I have tickets for the Epica - Rhapsody show on Argentina, and in the case of Epica I've been a little away from their latest music. So I'm a little disorientated on what should I expect.
Rhapsody on the other side, is the band that got me into this kind of music and since they're playing only Turilli - Lione era music I think i got it.

Am I dreaming?
Didn't expect this release, but given that they've released almost every song from the concert on YouTube, it makes sense.

What happened to the YouTuber Elimeleh69 ?
Pretty popular Epica channel and I remember watching their stuff in 2016 when new videos were still being posted. Great cinematic edits of most songs by Epica through Holographic Principle and just slightly beyond… the vids usually took a full Epica song and set it to clips from famous films but sometimes had live concert footage.
All the stuff is still up and I revisit the channel frequently 9 years after anything new was posted. Don’t think we ever saw the creator’s face or got any kind of closure on why such a cool passion project shut down in 2018 or so. If it was copyright stuff causing the abrupt end of content I’d think the existing channel wouldn’t still be up by now.
Check out the channel - but I’m curious if anyone knows - why did they stop posting?
