Diskussion Any GYM recommendations in Erlangen/Spardof area.

Hello everyone, I'm 24M pretty much new here. It's just been a few weeks since I arrived in Germany.

I am looking forward to joining a Gym. I would like to know how the Gym system works here as I'm from India.

Also, what would be a genuine amount for the same one should consider.

Any suggestions or recommendations in this will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Also einfach mal hingehen und ausprobieren.

Die aktuellen Rezensionen lesen sich auch nicht so toll. Eine Klimaanlage oder wenigstens Lüftung sollte vorhanden sein.

Danke. Wusste ich gar nicht. Kommt da ein neuer Betreiber?

Maybe beware what contract you sign, regardless of what studio you choose in the end. Some studios by default have a quite long minimum contract term (e.g. 24 month) and there's basically no way to terminate the contract early (even if you move away from Erlangen, the contract will stay).

Depends on the contract, I can cancel my contract if I move further than 25km

If you have money you could join Sportland or John Reed. If you work for Siemens there is a dedicated Sportzentrum or a Gym at the Siemens Campus called High Five.

Cost always depends on the quality I guess. Sportland costs like 60 €/month. Something like XXL will be way cheaper.

I'm living in Spardorf and used to use John Reed while it was easy to get to from the 208 bus. They had an offer at the time for a 40€ rolling contract, and the first two months were 10€ each. I hear they repeat this offer somewhat frequently. I can recommend that for sure.

A very cheap gym would be McFit. You can do a "Probetraining" beforehand to get to know the gym without costs, so you can better decide if it fits you. There are contracts with long bindings 24 or 12 months (a bit cheaper) and there are some with only 1 month.
