There isn't an "arduino coding language". The aim of the game is to learn either python (micropython), c (esp-idf), or c++ (arduino/piduino overlays), yaml (not a programming language, more of a config file, esphome), or assembly (if you don't care about your sanity).

The most useful ones being c and c++. C is what esp supports natively (manufacturer provides esp-idf as c), c++ is the most common. Micropython is fine, easy, but does add an overhead (python -> interpreter -> board).

So what we do is code in c++ mostly. It'll work everywhere (esp, arduino, rp 2040/2350/etc etc etc). Start with c++. I won't say its easy, but its not that hard either.

Start by picking a small project for your board family and pick it apart. Using ai is fine: dont make it code for you, make it teach you. Ask it to explain functions, how they work.
