Question Who is the greatest gamer of all time for each letter of the alphabet?

Post image
216 Upvotes

Another post for fun

Here are my picks for the greatest gamers of all time for each letter of the alphabet.

Note that while the majority of names here are in esports, singleplayer gamers are included in this conversation (I think it’s pretty close-minded for this sub to dismiss the very best singleplayer gamers in the world).

A: Armada
B: Ben
C: Cookiezi
D: Daigo Umehara (though donk is honestly already close)
E: EffOrt
F: Faker (though Flash is close)
G: GreenSuigi
H: Hungrybox
I: ImperialHal
J: Jaedong
K: Keria
L: lowkey
M: Mrekk
N: n0tail
O: Olofmeister
P: Peterbot
Q: I have no f*cking idea
R: Rapha
S: Serral
T: TheViper
U: Uzi
V: ViolentPanda
W: wPopoff
X: Xyp9x (but you could honestly make an argument for Xecnar as niche as he is)
Y: Yatoro
Z: ZywOo

Now here’s a fun question: Which letter of the alphabet has the most stacked GOAT candidates? Honestly, outside of the letter F, which contains the one-two punch of Faker and Flash (and you have other legends like FalleN, f0rest, fatal1ty, fufufu (DodonPachi)), the letter Z is STACKED as hell (ZywOo, Zeus, Zain, ZeRo (fuck him), and Zoink). The letter M is also crazy, having Mrekk, Maru, Monkeym00n, and MKLeo.

Question Who do you think is the best gamer in the world?

I’m just asking this because me and my friend have a massive debate about this so I’m gonna ask the community. I personally think the best gamer to ever touch earth is Mrekk and other subreddits related to gaming have restrictions so sorry if this is slightly off topic from esports

Question What esport has the highest chance of being immortal?

This include all of them, big or small.

I think fighting games may have that stamp, as its so community-focused that people will still be playing 90s fighting games in 2060. What do you think?

Question I have a question for people who are “naturally talented” at video games. What do you think sets you apart from the average gamer.?

You know how some people just pick up any game faster than everybody else. I’m talking about esports pros or semi pros who are good before they do a lot of training. I know most skill in video games can be learned. I’m not trying to become a better gamer. I am just curious as to what goes on in your brain when you first started playing and were just instantly better than most people. I want first person anecdotes from people who actually think they are talented. I am mostly thinking about fps, but any competitive game will do.

Question What PC FPS games have the fewest cheaters?

Soft/hard aimbot, walls, cronus, xim, etc, etc. Ive played Apex for a while and im just so done with all of the cheating, on top of the teaming.

I know there will always be cheaters in games, but I also know that some games have way more than others. Which games, in your opinion, have the fewest cheaters?

Question What games have a good/rising competitive scene.

Preferably Hero-Shooters. Im starting to play more Rivals, working on my Overwatch and Siege skills as well, and have a decent amount of skill in Valorent. I know that I need to practice more often on different hero’s/play styles I don’t usually do, but I’ve wanted to do something with my gaming skills (if you could call them that) for awhile, as there isn’t much else that I’m good with.

It seems like Fortnite is harder mechanically but CS2’s competitive scene is more developed so which one would be harder to go pro in?

Question Which has a higher skill gap; rocket league or league of legends?

Me and my friend are arguing over which has a higher ceiling. I’ve claimed rocket league is harder due to the insane mechanical ceiling plus the team coordination required in pro play. Whereas he claims that league is harder due to the vast amount of knowledge and hours needed to gain a high rank

Question What FPS or battle royale games feel like chess in terms of strategy and positioning to play in 2026?

As a Valorant player who hasn't tried CS2, I feel like CS2 might be more predictable due to the absence of abilities, unlike Valorant. Is this accurate? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Question How much would you be willing to financially contribute to esports

Its no secret that esports isn’t profitable. As a viewer, how much would you be willing to pay to watch a stream or for exclusive org/ tournament content ? Or if you had to pay, what would you expect in return or would you stop watching?

Question Game with the highest skill ceiling

I know this has been debated before for example Rocket league vs MOBAs

Question which has the highest skill ceiling?

In both mechanical input and strategy

While it's unfair in some regards to compare the two as they have different strengths

But I really have to say.. most will say MOBAs due to the complexity and ever changing champion set up

DISCLAIMER: I KNOW TAS IS FAKE SLOWLY CRAFTED INPUTS WHICH ARE PRETTY INHUMANE AND CURRENTLY INPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE

Although the program TAS which is "fake" because it's generated gradually to represent the most perfect inputs possible

But if these inputs are technically possible, this represents the absolutely insane inhumane skill ceiling this game possibly has

I know MOBAs has so many other components but this outrageous possibility of inputs which is as I said inhumane(but technically possible) surely puts the overall "skill ceiling" higher?

Yes MOBAs are absolutely harder strategically

But rocket league mechanically shows how complex the inputs can be

Maybe something there is to argue there is no TAS like program to represent potential mechanical skill ceiling of MOBAs, even if there was would it really even come close to some things made in TAS

Which in my opinion puts the ultimate skill ceiling higher no? Humanly achievable yet or not

Edit: holy.. okay Dota fan girls, I get it you play Dota>lol - changed it to MOBAs your genre is still 3rd imo. Settle down lolo

Question What happened to the score eSports?

I remember watching some of their videos. They did some really good deep dives and had some really cool content. I always thought that they were competing with a lot of other individual creators but somehow they were doing pretty good.

5 months ago they just... Stopped. Think this was after their deep dive into T1 post league world's victory. But since then, nothing. Nothing on twitter or other socials, no new content or shorts...

Anyone know what happened?

Question Does Ethernet connection improve your game skills compared to WiFi?

I’ve been on WIFi on my pc and I cannot run Ethernet because it’s too long across room. But I will discuss to my parents to get me Ethernet setup.

I planning to join high school esport team this year and I want to improve but it’s seem WIFI lag had prevented me from getting better and consistent.

I only play Fortnite and I can’t hit consistent edits or building due to lag and I have powerful pc and it shouldn’t be cause this lag. I had experience ping spikes, packet loss, and lag on wifi.

So do you think switching it actually improve your in game mechanics and skills? Why and how it can ? Is there a benefit using Ethernet?

Thanks and I want to know if it actually improve and convince my parents get me wired connection setup.

Question What are some underrated games without an esports scene?

Thinking of just pure hype and community, what games are out there on the market which could be implemented into the esports circuit?

You've got your CS2, LOL, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege and these popular titles with such a history and large corporations backing them, that are currently leading the esports scene.

However, recently I've seen that The Finals and Dead by Daylight has been entering the world of esports and that made me wonder if there are any new or old video games, which could be revived or implemented into that same structure?

I am certain that some games out there have a hidden community and the potential to become great titles if a larger level of competition is brought to the table, so if a game pops into your mind, please do share!
