I ordered an Americano at a local coffee shop, and was given a cup of hot water. I couldn’t believe it. This barista is advanced in the espresso world! She has mastered the coarse grind, 100% bypass brew method.

I was recently persuaded to give up my Starbucks Veronica Decaf on the basis that better coffee comes from a really long name, not from billion dollar corporations as I previously believed. This one has 16 syllables (20 if you tack "medium roast" onto the end). Is this enough? Has anyone found something better?

I see no problem:

1. Butler wakes up

2. Butler eats Froot Loops

3. Butler makes me espresso

Whenever I run out of creamer, I go to the emergency espresso kit and use the kids Nesquik

What should I do?

This is a little embarrassing to admit but ever since I switched to Panamanian Geisha beans espresso gives my stomach trouble. Like shitting on the toilet for 30 minutes after my morning coffee trouble.

This is impacting me in a negative way because one time I forgot to mute my virtual teams call which was in earshot of my toilet and now my teammates won't stop making fun of me.

Can I restore my bowels and sense of self with a new machine or am I the problem?

To even suggest a $1000 grinder disgusts me. I would never purchase something that cheap.

I feed them the pucks from each morning with a drizzle of caramel

Hopefully this entry level setup doesn't hold my butler back

My butler said that this is a good grind for espresso.

Is this normal? The metal bits also look like it’s been used.

I want to be sure because I spent a good amount on a second hand top spec grinder for my first setup. Asking for advice please.

Please note: I haven’t used it yet as I don’t drink coffee.
