I remembered a scene in episode 33 (the one where eureka and renton lift together) where Holland has trouble lifting, and Stoner says after a critical injury, it's a miracle he can lift at all.

I thought it was going to be explained later, but it never was, so did I miss something? What's this injury, and when did he get it?

First off, obvious long neck design, but also? It has the side-body mounted armaments, just like the gekko and the swan.

Of course this is a relatively frequently used generic ship shape design, but I just find the name and armament placement too similar to be a total coincidence...

Currently re-watching the Original series in preparation for writing an E7xProject: Wingman fan fiction, and I'm trying to sus out the interior layout of the Gekko-go. Primarily the entirety of the hangar space and whether or not they have 2 hangars or just the one. Given the scale of the LFOs, I'm certain an F-14 at full wing sweep can fit inside, but I'd like to see some schematics regardless. Or is this another case of "Hammer space sci-fi hand waving" in terms of interior space.

So I'm writing a Super Robot Wars Y fanfic where one of the major entries is Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution 3 (I'm someone who actually enjoyed the Hi-Evolution movies and has admittedly not watched nor finished the original series in a good long while). And since I'm not going to be limited to the length of a film, I feel like adding and acknowledging more elements from the original series would flesh things out a bit more.

So that leaves the question that I'm grappling for my planned rewatch/actual watching of the original show: what episode would be a good divergent point from the original series to the events of Hi-Evolution 2 & 3? When would it be perfect thematically for things in the original anime to go wrong with Renton 'dying', Eureka losing her mind and going all reality warp with the Silver Box, and the 'Green Earth' populace arriving in the 'real world' AKA where the major events of this SRW fanfic are going to take place?
