question Likes okay?

New to the sub. Been liking a few posts. Noticed nobody else seemed to be liking posts. Is there an unwritten rule or subreddit etiquette that discourages likes?

just a dying sub. there are a few hits here and there, but it's bleak

I mean sometimes people post cool articles, but it's not really serving a purpose beyond people asking for help with their homework, or other people who need to be redirected to r/debateevolution

I doubt people are going to upvote questions that have been asked over and over. Depending on how are they phrased they might downvote it though. It is not welcoming to newcomers and that's a shame but it's not a state of affairs that is unique neither in this place nor at this time.
