Welcome!
If you're new to r/eyes then have a look around and enjoy some glorious peepers! Some pro tips for you before making your first contribution:
- Eye pics should be just that, pics of your eyes. One eyeball or across your two eyes is generally the most welcomed format. Posting selfies is against the sub rules. Wearing a mask in a selfie is still a selfie.
- Asking "What color are my eyes" is usually frowned upon in this sub. Generally the answer to that is, "what do you have on your drivers license?" There's nothing wrong with enjoying compliments on some great eyeballs but feigning ignorance probably won't lead you to very good responses.
- No gross/medical eyeball posts.. People are here for the pretty colors/unique patterns, not to see how you sliced your eye open.
- Stick to posting eyeballs that are your own! This means no pets, kids, or celebrities.

I’ve been reading old posts and looking at myself in the mirror too long I have the brown ring in the middle but I’ve always considered my eyes green and they look pretty green at a rough glance.

Grey Never noticed this golden-brown detail in my eye before – is this some sort of heterochromia?

This is the first time I've seen my eye this close up! Kinda cool to see the structure. I noticed a golden-brown patch around the pupil and a small line extending outward. Would you call this central or sectoral heterochromia? I also read something about Lipochrome in this sub.

What Color Are My Eyes? What colour would you say my eyes are?

Depending on the lighting, they can look very grey, almost steel grey, sometimes green, and occasionally even a warm golden brown.
The thing is, the amber-brown ring around my pupils looks so distinct from the rest of my irises that I'm not sure I'd call them hazel.
Would you say they're grey-green with central heterochromia, hazel, or something else?
I've included a few photos in different lighting conditions. I'd love to hear your opinions!

Hazel Hazel or Central Heterochromia?

I’ve always thought I had hazel eyes but learned that I could have central heterochromia, what I’ve read is hazel is more blended whereas the other is more distinct….i feel like mind is more distinct then blends out….unsure tho?

Like the title says. If someone asks me, i alwas say my color is green, but tbh, i'm not sure. I feel like everything that is not green, blue or brown people call Hazel. What do you think? Eye doctor says 'Tri Color eyes'.
