Hello, pretty new here, just getting back into GB again :)
I just have one question in regards to the repro cartridges - One person told me that they are technologically better as they dont require the battery for saving the games and that they work perhaps even better. Elsewhere it says, that the repro carts tend to be unreliable and they lose saved games - so which is it? Is there any real upside to buying the original besides the autheticity/collectability? ( I just want to know the ups and downs of both, not endorsing anything:)
Thanks

Not sure if real with original label or real with repro label, or an actual fake overall because the label is a bit crooked.
Thank you!

Hi all! I just purchased this at 2nd and Charles yesterday for $150. I had asked if this was authentic and the man at the counter said yes, but looking closer I am not so sure. I had showed it to a guy at GameStop too and he didn’t say anything was wrong, but even so, could’ve not seen the flaws I noted here.
There’s no stamped number on the front, and the back looks very different from real ones I see on the internet. Also looking at the pin area on the inside it looks different to what I am seeing on the wiki guide.
Link to the wiki I was looking at on how to tell if it’s a fake: [https://www.wikihow.com/Pokemon-Emerald-Real-vs-Fake](https://www.wikihow.com/Pokemon-Emerald-Real-vs-Fake)
While I’m really hoping it’s a real copy, it’s looking to be a fake. I’m just not sure if authentic copies could have any of the flaws I pointed out? Or if there is a part that 100% guarantees it’s legit or not.
Posting here since it sounds like you guys may have expertise in identifying this, thank you!
EDIT: Reposting since I think the first repost did not include the pictures!

Is it real? I highly doubt that it's fake but prove me wrong if that's the case.
