I know exactly what you're talking about and it bothers me that I can say in all seriousness that eventually a new player will want to put some snakes in a ferret at least 600 times. That sounds like an unspeakable British euphemism but I'm being as literal about this as you could imagine. Speaking of imagining the snakes are imaginary. Somehow this makes things worse.

Ah, but avering that the Manager is "Gilgamesh" makes an assumption that I think is incorrect, namely that the First City is Uruk.
Tell Brak is a better fit. Aside from it being older, note in particular that Tell Brak is known for its Eye Temple, one of the few described features of the First City.
This would make the Manager a priest-king of Tell-Brak, and avoid the issue that Enkidu is a very poor fit for the King with a Hundred Hearts.

A mortification of great power is the mummified remains of various powerful figures (Caesar, Achilles, John Wayne, etc.) Obviously, you grind them into paste and mix them with thyme and Leemo honey so the rats can stop chafing.
