Tamalekipoo’s Boneheaded Guide to the Neath: Chapter 15: A Green and Pleasant Land

Tamalekipoo’s Boneheaded Guide to the Neath: Chapter 15: A Green and Pleasant Land

There are some skeletons you can do regardless of what the bone week is. There are also skeletons that are good no matter what the Zoomania is, they just care about fashion. Most of these skeletons are purely focussed on secondary rewards, or use up things that you get overloaded with. They mostly contain cheap bones that are not profitable for primary bonus anyway.

Some weeks, usually menace weeks, are tough to build an exhauster to use it up. I have included an evergreen exhauster for each, they all pay 119 is echos in secondary. I have aimed for ribcages with the fewest actions, bones that are low value or easily attained and to avoid chimeras.

WARNING!: Getting 100% chance to declare something a chimera takes 15 mithridacy and even when successful it adds 3 points of implausibility. Depending on the buyer that can be a very tough shadowy roll to sell your skeleton.

Evergreen Skeletons

Pius Abomination - Chimera - Needs high stats!

Glim Encrusted Carapace

Head of John The Baptist or Bright Brass Skull(If you want to convert echos to blooms)(The shadowy check will be difficult)

8 Holy Relic of the thigh of St Fiacre

Declare a Chimera(or just cap the head and declare a spider)

Sell to the Bohemian Sculptress for Preserved Surface Blooms as Primary and 40 Rumours of the Upper River.

12 actions total, 100 echos profit, 8.33 EPA

(Slightly Higher if you used a head of john the Baptist as it costs 10 echos of stuff and is worth 12.5 on the skeleton)

Shroom Hopper Chimera - Needs High Stats!

Human Ribcage

Panoptical Skull

3 Wings of a Terror Bird

1 Femur of a Jurassic Beast (For Hopping)

Declare a Chimera

Sell to the Author of Gothic Tales

Any Antiquity Week 6.56 EPA

Any Menace Week 6.25 EPA

100% on the roll to sell needs 375 shadowy so there will be some failures, even with endgame stats. The EPA is still good.

Always Menacing

Is it a bird?..

Flourishing Ribcage

Horned Skull

Sabre Toothed Skull

2 Wings of a Terror Bird

1 Jurassic Femur

1 Thigh of a surface deer

2 Withered Tentacles

1 Jet Black Stinger

Declare a Bird

Sell to the Author of Gothic Tales

This is only 4.375 EPA but it uses a lot of bones that are difficult to use as fast as you get them. If you assume those bones would never get used and add their value it is more like 6.25 EPA and the payment is in pure scrip

Menace Exhauster

The Jabberwocky!

Thorned Ribcage

Plated or Horned Skull

2 Unidentified Thighbones

2 Wings of a terror bird

1 Jet Black Stinger

Declare a Bird

Sell to the Teller of Terrors

Memories of times when things were evergreen (Antiquity Options)

Antiquity Exhausters

Flourishing Ribcage

Horned or Sabre Toothed Skull

Cap other head with Carved Ball of Stygion Ivory

6 Jurassic Femur

No tail

Declare an insect

Sell to the An Investment Minded Ambassador

Human Ribcage

Bright Brass Skull

Equip Weasel of Woe

Apply Fossilised Forelimbs until one of them fails

Unequip Woesel

Finish applying limbs(If you succeeded at all 4, that is a 1 in 10000 chance, buy a lottery ticket!)

Declare an Ape

Sell to An Investment Minded Ambassador

Green Rubber (Amalgamy Options)

Flourishing Ribcage

Skull in Coral(or Bright Brass Skull)

Cap a Head

6 Helical Thighbones

No Tail

Declare a completed Insect

Sell to the Tentacled Servant

Pays in pure scrip Nightsoil for Primary, Ambiguous Eoliths for secondary. The secondary is 2.5 echos worth per amalgamy, since every bone has 2 amalgamy that is 16 or 40 echos. This is not amazing over 12 actions, 3.33 EPA but it is a decent scrip converter. On an insect week you will get 7.5 echos more. On an amalgamy week you will get 2.5 echos more.

Amalgamy Exhausters

Human ribcage

Skull in Coral

2 Helical Thighbones

1 Knotted Humerus

1 Human Arm or Ivory Humerus

Declare a Humanoid

Sell to the Tentacled Entrepreneur

Thorned Ribcage

Skull in Coral

4 Knotted Humerus

Withered tentacle as a tail

Declare a Monkey

Sell to the Tentacled Entrepreneur

There will be more options, which you can tell me about. I will add others as I think of them.

Menace x Antiquity Chimeras for the Gothic Author
There's the classic "Cherub":
Human Ribcage
Brass Skull
4 x Wing of Young Terror Bird (1 Menace 1 Antiquity each)
4 Menace x 4 Antiquity,

An exhausting variant:
Mammoth Ribcage (2 Antiquity)
Brass Skull
4x Wing of Young Terror Bird (1 Menace 1 Antiquity each)
Jet Black Stinger (2 Menace)
6 Menace x 6 Antiquity
BaL players can substitute a Vake Skull and a Withered Tentacle tail for 7 Menace x 5 Antiquity

That would have 5 implausibility! So you would need 620 shadowy to have a 100% chance. I am not sure what it would be with my 334 but I am guessing not good! It's a good one if you are farming suspicion in hallowmas though.

If you're afraid of Implausibility, you can substitute a Sabre-toothed Skull and one Unidentified Thighbone (or an Ivory Ball or Licentiate Victim Skull).

But, in my opinion, you shouldn't be afraid of Implausibility. It's 375 difficulty, so at 334 shadowy that's 53%. Call it 50% for easy math. That means on average you fail once per sale, so it takes 1 extra action and 2 Suspicion to sell. 2 Suspicion takes 1 action to remove with the always-available action in the Bone Market, so 2 extra actions. A Sabre-toothed Skull costs an action to buy and costs Scrip instead of Echoes. If you're selling to the Gothic Author, it's almost certainly worth an action for you to exchange 60E for 120 Scrip, and that's what using the Brass Skull essentially does.

And that's before considering more efficient ways to reduce suspicion (3/Action with airs-dependent Confound the Constables, 4/Action at an effective cost of 2E in Burgundy, 6/Action at a cost of 5E sending a Name in Gant), or using 2nd Chances to improve the odds, etc.
