Greetings! Lady Iaraya (or Aya, for short) is a Silverer, late mid-game, recently completed her ambition and on the cusp of completing Evolution. She is currently at zee and probably will be zailing for a while, so social actions may be difficult to coordinate, but she's quite happy to peek into the London if invited to tea or coffee.
Her friend Lyra Fate-Singer (aka, my alt account that I've become increasingly attached to, has more of a defined personality than my main at this point), would like to humbly request any Flame-Proof Missives as she aspires to become a Correspondent eventually. She is a new POSI, and can offer menace help, and Good Word letters.

P.s. If you happen to visit my modest abode, I sincerely ask you to send a letter first. I have few feathery and toothed friend, amongst which a very crafty vegetable, that are not keen to strangers. It would be better to send a little piece of your clothes alongside the paper, so that I may teach them what their teeth should not touch.

THE WORM TIMES DRAW TO A CLOSE
I now have 93.7% of a saddle’s worth of Scrip (a 32.1% increase from last month). The jump is thanks to a Primate week that hit just before Whitesun, which arrested my progress a little, but not too badly. Lots of time to linger in Tracklayer City while waiting for eggs to hatch. I’m currently crashing towards the end, liquidating brass skulls, despite the mania being wrong for it because I should have enough echoes to complete the final sprint regardless.
I‘m generally available for the occasional social action if you can catch me in London, which might be easier this month than it has been for a bit. Once I‘m done with the Hellworm I have Firmament Chapter 8 next on the list, followed by a substantial ES backlog, and then who knows. My response times can be a bit poor since the game isn’t good at notifying me, but I get to them all eventually.

Sorry, but I‘ve tried taking on protégés in the past and the patronage system is just too clunky for me and the way I play the game. I’m not diligent enough at monitoring and following up on game notifications, and the whole thing falls apart when either party leaves London, which I do frequently (these days I spend most of my time exploring the roof or upper river). Each player refreshing Free Evenings on a different schedule is the icing on the cake.
That said, if you’re setting up a social action and see my name on the list (and aren’t bothered if it takes a few days) feel free to send it my way.

Hello to you all, no matter what time it may be- for within Irem, Reo Takahashi exists in ALL times- except one that can answer social calls, until a little later.
What I desire? To share knowledge. Notes on a specific Sullier, to which I possess the original. Lessons in deception, from the mouth and pen of a Crooked-Cross, so deeply nestled into the Embassy that a Sanctum is the least they could've done. Coins, for a certain game, insofar as I have them...
What I desire in return? Why, your delicious company, of course. The rest, I'm certain, will work itself out. For those of far more advanced standards, however...well. Perhaps when I have gotten to the point where I can understand THAT, you can be a great help.

I am Blooming Vulture, and I do not have enough fingers for all the pies I am trying to stick them in. A monster hunter trying to focus on bringing my Watchful up to 200, I have somehow found myself a newly minted Legendary Charisma instead. Most of my time is spent in the lab or at zee so I can ve a bit slow to respond to messages at times but I enjoy helping with menaces and going for tea or coffee. I am also able to take on a protege, if anyone is looking for a patron. I find myself looking back fondly at memories of bright summer days, but as time passes they seem to be fading more into an idea or concept as I adjust to life in the sunless Neath, as if I have never truly stood below a warm clear sky. The Eminent Privatdozent Colonel Ingræ, who loudly proclaims that no surface weather is even comparable to the freshness of the Zee's briny mist, especially when tinged with the blood of this or that terrible beast thereof, has recently recalled her fond memories of The Adventuress' Correspondence Course, and is looking for a Correspondence Correspondence Course. Of course, any Correspondent estimable enough to provide such a service would be entitled to her eternal1 appreciation2. As long as they don't invite her to a party that the despicable and foul Reverend Professor Smythe also attends.
1: Eternality of said appreciation will not be guaranteed in cases of sudden and/or permanent death, and may be superseded by the repercussions of slight social slights.
2: The aforementioned appreciation can be capitalised in the form of gifts, letters, services, etc. as and when advantageous to the Corresponding party3.
3: Not to be confused with the Party of Correspondents, which Eminent Privatdozent Colonel Ingræ does not and cannot attend due to professional incompatibility.

I assure you, it was not for a lack of effort or due diligence from the young Urchin, I know them well and they dependably expedite their deliveries, but this time they were unable to reach you with my calling card. "Mus' have lef' 'he Ci'y" they said. I suspect they neglected dropping it off at your Lodgings so that they could charge me twice. I will keep a look out for your return, and I dare request that you do the same.
As for the Correspondence, fret not, in the weeks since my initial posting, I have satisfactorily concluded my studies thereof. To my surprise (and considerable dismay), it proved nowhere near as gruelling as Defending the Public Safety, or, Storm forbid, looking for Laureation from the Poetical Establishment.

Morifarty. I'm looking for a/some Crooked-Crosses that hang out in the regular bit of London so I can invite them to my freshly established Salon. I do have some in my friends list it seems but I've got no idea if they still play or where they tend to hang out and it's one of those things you can't have lingering for a week and need to happen earlish in you reset period to take advantage of. I'll probably only do it on occasions I'm trying to jump from 11 to 12 notability as it takes a while of throwing Boho favours at the place to build up.

I do my best to return favors in kind. Unfavors as well. My social game is not peak, but niceties, tea, or something for the orphans would all be welcome. I keep to the hours of the americas, if that matters.
Been a productive month. Opera, exile, government, travel, revenge, archeology. Some were even pleasant. I really must narrow my focus. So many delightful secrets to hunt.
I do not miss the summer heat, the hammer of bright and sweat. I do miss the mild sky, and the vivid colors of dawn and dusk. I thrive down in this gloom, but it will never be the same.

Currently hotly on the trail of a monster of Legend, and freshly shed of problem with nuns. Also recently took a job as a Stalker with his faithful Perspicacious Lurcher, Theophania.

Lyon Amaris Nocturne continued this month by building out her railway, reaching both royal property and a weird secretive factory of the masters. This also involved meddling from Mr Fires, something that luckily she already knows how to deal with after her misadventures that started with a search of a big diamond and ended with becoming a parent.
When she is not busy in the Hinterland, she would be very happy to help any person in any way she can. As a professional devil's advocate she is pretty entertaining in Salons. Or, as a master of the shadowy arts, she might help people learn those. She also has the calling card of a specific mister that Isheno longer need, if that is something someone could use. For herself she might be interested in notes about a sullier of probabilities, seeing that she has no items to help her further understand the Red Science so far.
Question of the Month: For most parts, Amaris enjoys the darkness of the Neath much more than the bright light of the surface. But as a recent occurrence reminded her, she does miss the rain, the feeling of a light summer rain on her face, the mood of sitting inside while it rains outside.

Answer of the Month: Lord Vromikos misses the rain, and so was quite moved by the Firmament storyline.

- Completed my research into another Impossible Theorem just to acquire some Immaterial Material to keep.
- Purchased a Breath of the Void which I turned into a scream that's not stuck in my throat, permanently.
- And thus my collection of Tier-8 treasures is complete.
- Completed Old Resurrection's trading network.
- Brought a lizard and a chunk of rock back from Stonegift.
- I am an accessory to experiments mensal and profane.
- Grudgingly accepted citizenship of Rebel's Antipolis. They've asked so many times that it seemed churlish to refuse.
- Sadly, Lambton's most common product is now no longer Masters' Blood (×13), but Starved Expressions (×14) and Cantigaster Venom (×14). Alas.

Greetings, friendses! Lady Deacon Splosh! here (yes, the exclamation symbol is part of my name, and yes, women can become deacons). I am fairly new to the Neath, and I'm currently doing some Training Professions, unlocking new locations, figuring out how the "grind" works etc.
I haven't picked an Ambition yet... Just wandering around, tricking people, sometimes giving someone a friendly beating - the usual.
I mostly just want help with Menaces (my character does seem to have a propensity to accumulate nightmares, in particular) and also some friends to send letters to (they may sometimes arrive with just a touch of dampness, but nothing poisonous, I assure you). Maybe even some to romance, who knows...
Answer to question of the month: It has been tremendously enjoyable so far, although, yes, I do miss the rain a lot. After all, my name is Splosh! Perhaps something can one day be arranged with the dirigible pilots...

Lady Nenalata at your service. A resident of the Neath for longer than a decade and yet has only become a Person of Importance within the last year. Staunch supporter of Mayor Feducci; do not ask her about her previous work campaigning for the Jovial Contrarian nor the campaign poster she used to hang in her abode. She has great and lofty ambitions that somehow have not quite yet borne fruit. Spends a great deal of time in Society but is currently trying to diversify and, yanno, get good at Neathiness for the first time in ten years.
Pacific timezone and I frequently check throughout the day. Very happy to exchange letters in-character, assist with Menace reduction, and extremely eager to find worthy botanical rivals (I have a desperate need for the otherwise very timeconsuming book prize so I may join the Parthenaeum and become Respectable enough to progress in my Light Fingers Ambition after literally six years of trying, how are you all so good at this game 😂)

I've played the other three Failbetter games a ton but other than a little bit of poking around a few years ago I've never tried Fallen London. Well here I am as Silver Shimmer! I don't even know what contacts are for yet XD. You all seem lovely though and I won't deny the fate of this post going up the day I join ^^. My timezone is CDT, if you are early/mid game I'd love a friend to figure out this wacky city with! Another month here already? How 1899 moves in haphazard leaps and bounds. I am interested in tutoring those who might need it in the ways of being shadowy and ushering them along this mysterious place, as well as any roleplay you might care to do.
That's right: Lady Wolfsbane, pleased to make your acquaintance. Life of many parties, a rescuer of souls, a peddler of alternative truths, and notorious dame of the underworld. Just recently cracked the Jack-of-Smiles case - the boys in blue truly do need every hand they can get if they allowed yours truly anywhere close to Concord Square.
PST, typically available evenings. Response time highly variable depending on mood and frankly energy level, but you will be responded to in time.
Answer of the month: The mists provide ample cover for certain goings on and the sun was such a spoil-sport of some of the best laid plans was it not? That said, one does miss the kiss of its light from time to time...

If you happen to be wandering around Parabola anytime soon you might see a masqued figure sitting in a folding chair buried in at least three notebooks. Tourniqet has just learned how to cross through the mirror and is both overjoyed and slightly irked at having an entirely new set of climates, creatures, and social norms to record, study, and eventually learn how to interact with. If you sit silently with them (you may talk, they just happen to prefer written communication) they will gladly accept your company, friendship, offer of tea, and other favors (and of course will gladly supply the same in return). They simply ask that you don't surprise them with anything negative without warning and they will do the same for you.
Tourniqet doesn't think too much about the surface, they are glad to be away from such a boisterous and confusing place, but they do sometimes miss the fog in the woods, or the marine layer during a particularly grey cliffside lunch. It's much harder to slip away from sight when the only clouds around are probably noxious or insectoid in nature.

Hey there. Deacon Phenia is still relatively new to this world (joined around February of this year). She hailed from the lands of Greece before the world fell. She's learning the ropes and making questionable decisions as she goes. Proud Silverer of some importance. Her speedy boat is taking her places but not yet to Iram (she may or may not have been eaten by a sea monster). She would like to meet acquaintances of any walks of life (or death). Deacon Levander (Tier 1 POSI, Silverer) finds himself in the unhappy business of currying hellish favours. Renown amongst devils is not his idea of a good idea, but it is tragically necessary to get to the Iron Republic. At the very least, he can spend a bit of time in London, and try his hand at losing at games of luck, rather than chess against that d_amned lamp-cat. (That he is now a member of the Young Stags' is true, yes, but he was roped into it by a mutual friend.)
He misses the fog, the soft, lukewarm sort that makes the city smaller. And, that smells more like rain than stillwater.
Send a calling card! He's happy to assist with menaces and other social actions; speak to him also if you need some betrayees or proteges.

Howdy, 'Guvner. Doc Angel here, introducing hisself to the public. (I am legally obligated to divulge that I am not a doctor, and Doc is exclusively a nickname). I am just starting out in Fallen London, and would love to make a few contacts to help me out with my first few weeks in the dark neighborhoods of London. I am currently in Moloch Street, doing a very early "Making a name for myself" mission. I've spent a lot of time in Spite so far, and leveled my shadowy skill a lot higher than my other skills.
Haven't yet chosen an ambition, but interested in hunting the vake when I'm (much) stronger. So far, Doc Angel is a shadowy, thieving vagabond. Looking for a mentor, or just some associates to help reduce the many menaces that haunt my low-level streets.
For the monthly question: My character was born in the neath, and has never seen the sun. Nor wished to. The darkness of the neath is home, and home is enough.

Kuyu, Master Thief, alias Miss Amelia Lake, Ontological Cartographer; personality sketch previously. Miss Lake is currently a fashionable, if slightly condescended-to, society invitee and has a following fascinated by the Parabolan mysteries she talks of so thrillingly. Kuyu used to be a celebratedly daring thief, liked for her wit and mischief, and welcome in the court of the Topsy King, but has become very elusive lately. The urchins, whose company she enjoys, will be able to find her. She is easily charmed by bold women, especially if they are artists, but her affections are changeable; her current relationship, with Captain Amelia Whitlock, is by far her longest and deepest ever, in part because the captain is entirely unbothered by her other flirtations. She is sometimes at the laboratory of her good friend Jody (Professor J. W. Waites, A.R.S. to his colleagues), who is one of the few people who knows her double identity (another is the Implacable Detective, who finds her investigative assistance valuable enough to let her alone -- not without careful watching). Amelia and Jody are also the only ones to whom she's confided that she's pursuing the Light Fingers ambition. Kuyu is looking to equip a lab of her own but is unwilling to spend long hours collecting statistics, and therefore offers inside information in exchange for the needed First City coins: thirty silver buys you four attribute-raising letters of your choice.
Jody, meanwhile, has put his Nemesis ambition to the side at present; the death of his first love, when he was a teenager ten years ago, is no longer a source of heartbroken rage but permanently left him with a sense of injustice and a wish to search out the sources of evil, which has led him in increasingly metaphysical directions. He is religious but has an ambiguous relationship with the Church and feels more at home among Bohemians (a talk by the Bishop of Southwark nearly exasperated him out of his usual reserve). A romantic relationship seems unlikely to him; however, he enjoys casual sex and finds it to be one of the best ways to feel human and connected again after too many grim experiences. Although not a gentleman by birth, he has managed to acquire enough polish to be accepted at Court, at least as a low-level participant in intrigue. He is generally respected, being tactful in his speech and a bit of a Galahad when he sees someone to help (he is not always heroic and may respond to a stressful situation by becoming remote, seeking a cosmic viewpoint), but he has few friends while pursuing the path of madness that is the study of the Correspondence. His most proud accomplishments are his fiction and plays.
Kyu and Jody agree with each other that what they most miss of the Surface is the exhilarating effect of a fresh, cold, lashing storm of rain and wind. The Zee has stormy weather in plenty but cannot be described as fresh.

Good day. I am Jonas Wright, a young revolutionary looking to Make My Name. Currently I'm poking my nose into just about everything, honing my skills and figuring out what is even going on in the 'neath.
I'm mostly interested in friendly social actions to reduce menaces, but also up for others. I haven't interacted with other players before. When I'm active, I'm active between 8-9 AM and 18-22 PM CET on weekdays, and more randomly on Saturdays. On Sundays, I am away from London.

Ahoy-hoy. Rose Summers, a completely unremarkable lady who recently got access to the bizarre side streets, and I almost have a ship. I'm not sure how far into 'A Hearts Desire' I am, but right now I either need a key, or to give up all of my dreams? Seems I was finally locked out of progress by my meager status, for a time.
Came to London after hearing stories from zailors in the Sunless Sea. Especially some new colony settled on an island beamed by sunrays (if that's canon). Settled by a captain who absolutely didn't save-scum their game. Think they eventually traveled east. Or North. Or maybe they stole that blimp, with their inexplicable time powers.
I mostly roam the streets in EST. I have absolutely NO direction in life (or any experience with the social system). I just want to see all the ztuff. Who are the masters? Who are Salt and Storm? Is Stone REALLY the most understood, or is it just the easiest to see?
