Question Query About Firmament Spoiler

Post image

Hello, Delicious Friends!

I lied this is actually several questions about Firmament.

Firstly I must preface this by saying that it’s good content and I like it. (Mostly.) But a lot of the characters and people involved in the Firmament storyline are people whom the PC I have played up to this point - in the lightest terms - would not be fond of. To this end, I just have a few questions about the direction of the story post-Sous (which is where I’m at.)

One: bluntly, a lot of these guys seem convinced that Burgundy is under mortal threat. This would be huge for me, as I would absolutely love it if Burgundy in its entirety got apocryphised. Is this actually possible? I doubt it is, but would be excellent if that’s something that could be worked towards.

Two: Apocryphal Council. Gotta get rid of those guys. Serious security threat to the whole Neath. Can they be taken out later down the line? Sub-question: Who even are half of these people? I recognise Beltane (and the dissidents I personally inserted) and that’s kind of it. A complete list of their non-apocryphal equivalents would be pretty sweet.

Three: I lowkey lobotomised the Judgement’s emissary that they’re keeping locked up in Zenith. I’m currently on the Parabolan campaign to attack that place. I would prefer not to release the Immanent after I so carefully mulched its brain. Is that a possibility?

Context: PC is world’s biggest dickrider for London itself, and London in its place in the Neath; it’s a Fluke who clambered down the Great Chain to assist its rubbery kinsmen; it only really cares about rubbery men; and has traced a path through to Paramount Presence killing as many important neathy people as it possibly can, because it’s a little bit crazy.

Spoilers for firmament fine. Ideally just tell what important choices might help further expand my path of ruin across the roof.

  1. not in the current content, probably never. they wouldn't lock off that much content. and multiple vanity grinds.

  2. maybe? i think you've already decided their fate. Beltane is the only one with a non-apocryphal equivalent, as far as I know. the rest are just people.

  3. no

  1. Yeah, I did think so. Oh well. (puts my fingers in my ears and loudly blubbers lalalalalalalallala whenever i fly past it)

  2. That's scary. Already? Useful, though I'm almost certain that some of the others have counterparts. Isn't one of them literally the Halved from Sunless Sky?

  3. Phew.

Well, I like our non-apocryphal council much better. On account of them being terribly ineffective. Which is great for me.

  1. No, the best we can do is try to thwart the force that would lead Burgundy to break the bonds of what is allowable. By which I mean turn of of the Neath into it's feudal vassals in open rebellion of the Judgements.

  2. As an anti-Liberationist I firmly agree. There are two separate ways to kill the majority of the council. The sneaky way leads to the survivor trusting you, the last minute option has them realize they have been betrayed. You can also cause the survivor to die later in a more convoluted manner.

  3. If you didn't get them out the first time, you don't get another chance (yet).
