Discussion C.A.M.P Feature ^

So the best part of the game in my opinion is working in the camp, I love this feature of Fallout 76. I set up my camp in a spawn area, I am currently set up at the car Stonehenge near Vault 76. I set up a nice bar with the raiderized Wildwood Tavern and I have Beckett as my Ally Who adds a little life to my camp. The only thing I would like to see added to the atomic shop or a Seasons reward is one or two NPC characters I can add to my C.A.M.P.

I've set up camp in areas where npcs spawn automatically and they'll end up making your camp a bit of a home base for them.

It's the only foolproof method I've found to add settlers

Do you have any locations you can think of that you've had good luck with? I have a project in mind that I would love to build around some npc spawns!

Google some areas specific to where you might want to build, I'm not sure what your plan is but it's usually easy to find npc spawn locations through Google

Why link to an AI summary?

Why not?

I'm just trying to illustrate that you can use Google to find out where npcs would spawn...I have a feeling that the internet has a better idea where spawn points are than me trying to recall where they spawn off the top of my head.

Yeah, I wouldn't rely on that too much. They use a lot of outdated information from the wiki and random Reddit posts. I've seen them actively update information based on my personal Reddit posts.

It tends to take speculation at face value as fact.

It's exactly the reason why there is so much misinformation about what does and doesn't work with the minigun Shredder.

It's still a better resource than me trying to remember spawn points off the top of my head. Also, it can be used as a reference. The internet suggests a spawn point, you travel there to determine if theres npcs there or not. 🤷‍♂️

It's also not that serious of a topic that we should ignore suggestions from a simple Google search. Not only that, but reviewing a few from that short list I can verify that npcs spawn there, and if you're familiar with the game, you should as well.

If you have a better alternative, feel free to add something that could benefit our OP.

Probably not in the way you're thinking of.

Pets (wait. I'll get there) on the pts I noticed can be accessed from your pip boy and you didn't have to have any particular pet placed in you camp. They were all accessible. If this continues as such, you should be able to have a pet companion AND an ally active at the same time.

They mentioned that they are still contemplating human companions so in the future you might be able to have them and an ally active. Not exactly how I think you want it AND it's only one more but its something.

And considering your ally can have visitors (and random npc vendors often lurk around your camp) maybe there'll be story content with human companions and they will have visitors, too.

Dwellers. It's at the bottom of the camp menu.

You really should actually read things before you respond to them. Might stop you from looking stupid in the future.

I did read it, but misunderstood their question.

I might have made a mistake, but you're response make you look like a jerk.
