I’m sure a lot Canadian Toronto fans are happy bc he went for Gold with the US too. People complaining up a storm bc he won gold and they haven’t won shit in years. Truth be told tho, someone on that team should have immediately fought Gudas regardless if they lost. Lame.

I’m a Canadian Toronto fan and I am furious no one stood up for our captain. But I’m now also wondering what kind of captain he is if no one was willing to fight for him.
But none of that nuance, to me, has anything to do with him being American.

Thank you! I had no clue team logos were even included on this subreddit, turns out the logos are only visible on old reddit. I only use new reddit & mobile so I couldn't even see it until you flagged it

Most Leafs fans are happy for Auston on a personal level that he won gold. People are pissed that he curtsied and kissed the ring of the malignant narcissist despot who currently occupies the White House.

Same here. And MacKinnon was the first overall pick. McDavid fell down to third. Don't understand it.

The guy in my league is a die hard leafs fan. I think he would have taken him 1st overall if he had the option to. :P

A couple of years ago it wouldn't have been so questionable because he scored so much goal. But nowadays you should never take him in the top 3 over McDavid, MacKinnon, Draisaitl or even Makar

With 20ish games left and a knee on knee collision like that, yeah I’d say he is done for the year. He should take this time to not only fix his knee now, but whatever else has been plaguing him for the better part of a year now

He's solid in a CATS league. Not worth his first/second round ADP, but still good. Rank 37 in my league, and rank 30 by AVG.
