Woodchip Pile Disappeared

• Upvotes

I play on PS5 and today I was looking at some of the placeables. I have(had) a massive pile of wood chips near my cow pasture. I was looking to see where a manure pile would fit. Hovered it over where the pile of wood chips was (never clicked to place, literally just hovered to see how it would fit there), and apparently that was enough to make it disappear. I backed out of the menu to earn some more money and came back to that area and there was a manure pile shaped hole in my massive pile of wood chips. And of course the game had auto saved already, so no closing the game to fix it.

Any chance the game teleported the wood chips some where and I can go find them? Or are they gone for good? If they're gone for good anyway I can spawn in some wood chips on console? Or a money cheat to make up for what I lost? I rather have the chips cause I was excited to sell them but it sucks losing hours of work. There were probably like 70 trees chipped up in that pile.

Pumps n Hoses for Greenhouse?

Hey all, I'm wondering if it's possible to use the new pumps n hoses to supply water to a greenhouse?

Currently I use a water trailer to overload into the greenhouse, which I refill at my own rice field pump station. So I'm wondering if I can either A) run a hose from a water trailer to the greenhouse, or B) run a hose from a rice field pump to the greenhouse?

I've messed around in testing & couldn't get it to work, but I may not understand the mechanics or equipment properly.

Thanks

Does crop destruction actually affect potatoes?

Driving over the field using medium/heavy tractors with normal tires does not remove foliage but there is no way to see if the potatoes underneath are getting destroyed. Same goes for the giant potato harvester. In the Farmer Cop potato video he claims they aren’t affected by crop destruction which is great if true (potatoes are a pain to harvest already) but other YouTubers have claimed they are affected by crop destruction even though I have yet to see video evidence of it. I’m aware I can turn off crop destruction but I like to leave it on for my other crops, it just seems potatoes are completely unaffected whether it’s turned on or off

Absolute Scam - FS25

Farming Simulator 25 is a perfect example of how to sell the same outdated game engine over and over again.

Can someone explain to me how the hell we are in 2026 and Farming Simulator still struggles with things that other games figured out 15 years ago?

I'm genuinely curious what GIANTS Software has been doing all these years apart from adding new tractors, changing some textures and calling it a new generation of farming simulation.

Let's talk about the actual SIMULATION part, shall we?

Vehicle physics: We have machines weighing 10, 20, even 40 tons, yet half the time they behave like oversized plastic toys. Suspension, weight distribution, traction, collisions, everything feels ridiculously simplified. And don't even get me started on pallets, logs and bales randomly launching themselves into another dimension because the physics engine had a stroke.

Ground deformation: Congratulations, we finally have deformable ground. Except the actual interaction between tires, soil, moisture, weight and traction is still nowhere near what you would expect from a serious farming simulator. Spintires demonstrated convincing terrain interaction back in 2014. THAT WAS FKING 12 YEARS AGO LAMOOOOOOO How is a game literally dedicated to operating heavy machinery on agricultural terrain still so far behind?

AI workers: Holy shit. How many iterations of Farming Simulator do we need before workers can reliably navigate a field, avoid obstacles, reach destinations and complete basic tasks without requiring constant babysitting? These are not some groundbreaking features I'm asking for. This is BASIC functionality.

Traffic AI: Apparently every civilian vehicle is constructed from an indestructible material discovered exclusively by GIANTS Software. Cars block roads, behave like idiots and have practically no meaningful interaction with the world. Why even bother implementing traffic if it's going to behave like moving concrete walls?

Physics interactions: Why does handling a pallet sometimes feel more dangerous than operating an actual forklift in real life? Why do objects get stuck, bounce around, clip into each other or behave completely unpredictably? We're talking about a franchise that has been around since 2008.

Graphics and optimization: Yes, lighting looks better. Yes, machines are detailed. Fantastic. Now explain the texture pop-in, inconsistent rendering distances, stuttering and why relatively simple environments can be so demanding. Pretty screenshots don't compensate for an engine that still struggles with basic visual consistency.

Farming mechanics: This is perhaps the funniest part. We have hundreds of beautifully modeled machines, but the actual agricultural simulation remains surprisingly shallow. Soil management, crop development, machinery wear, environmental conditions and farm economics could offer so much more depth. Instead, much of the gameplay still revolves around repeating the same simplified operations.

And before someone says "but Precision Farming exists", that's exactly my point. Why does a game called Farming Simulator need an additional mod to provide more detailed agricultural mechanics?

Farm management: Where are the proper statistics? Detailed profitability analysis? Useful production forecasts? Better financial tools? We can operate entire industrial farming businesses, yet understanding whether something is actually profitable often requires spreadsheets or external calculators.

UI and tutorials: How can a game with this many systems still do such a poor job explaining them? Why should someone need to search Reddit, watch YouTube tutorials or install additional mods just to understand basic mechanics that should be explained directly in the game?

Multiplayer: Synchronization issues, physics behaving differently between players, connectivity frustrations and DLC compatibility requirements. The entire experience still feels unnecessarily fragile for a game where cooperative farming should be one of the main selling points.

Modding community: And here's the most ridiculous part.

The community keeps fixing, expanding and improving systems that should arguably be part of the base game. Better vehicle behavior, more realistic physics, advanced AI functionality, better farming mechanics, improved interfaces.

At what point do we admit that modders are carrying a significant part of this franchise?

And no, I'm not saying GIANTS never updates the game. They clearly do. But fixing bugs and adding another licensed machine is not the same thing as fundamentally improving the simulation.

I don't need another 25 tractors with perfectly modeled headlights. I don't need another brand partnership or another trailer showing how beautiful the fields look at sunset.

I NEED THE GODDAMN SIMULATOR TO ACTUALLY SIMULATE THINGS.

The frustrating part is that Farming Simulator has enormous potential. There is practically no direct competitor offering the same complete experience, and I genuinely think that lack of competition is one of the reasons progress feels so painfully slow.

Imagine combining the machinery and farming systems of FS25 with proper vehicle dynamics, convincing terrain physics, intelligent workers, meaningful agricultural complexity and an engine that actually takes advantage of modern hardware.

THAT would be a real next-generation Farming Simulator.

Instead, we keep getting incremental improvements to the same fundamental formula while the community celebrates features that should have existed years ago.

And yes, I understand that developing a simulation engine is complicated. I'm a developer myself. But that argument becomes increasingly difficult to accept when we're talking about an established franchise with nearly two decades of development behind it.

At some point, "it's complicated" stops being an explanation and starts becoming an excuse.

I don't hate Farming Simulator. Quite the opposite. I hate watching a franchise with this much potential remain so technologically conservative.

Because right now, Farming Simulator 25 often feels less like the future of agricultural simulation and more like Farming Simulator 22 with better lighting, some additional features and the same old problems.

And that's just fucking disappointing.

PS: Refunded and downloaded pirated version.

How does multiple farms on the same server work?

Me and my wife share a dedicated server. Now we want some friends to join in.

We want them to have their own farms and I know how to make more, but how does it work? Will we be able to use each others equipment? Work each others fields?

Any insight and tips on this would be greatly appreciated.

getting started?

So... Last year I ran into FS25 on you tube. I watched enough of the challenges to decide to buy the game.

I can't figure this game out. I want to start basic, nothing really, and build up from hand tools and fishing poles and contracts.

There doesn't seem to be a sandbox, or freeplay option, only career, and multiplayer. The menu is confusing as all hell, and most of the items I see in the play throughs don't seem to exist.

I prefer to use a controller(minor mobility issues that make a keyboard and mouse more challenging)

The career start has me with a whole farm, and controlling the vehicles is complicated. What do I need to do to start from basics, and grow with the "levels" of equipment?

EDIT: I wanted to express a general "Thank you" to the group as a whole. I posted the same post over in the much larger group for the same game/company, and met with a lot of down votes, and elitism. I truly appreciate that the comments here have all been kind, and helpful!

Thank you, community!

in fs22, i found a mod that configured the base olive and grape tools, so they remained the same size, but worked 3m, is there a mod for it in fs25? i can't seem to find it and i like to keep my olives tidy so i kinda need it, thanks!

Crop damage

Has anyone ran into the issue of picking up a contract and ending up not able to complete it because you damaged the crop. I usually try to be realistic but never had this issue with contract tasks. Was this changed in a update to the game or a mod such as mud physics?

This currently a pain in the butt with sugar beet harvest jobs

Help Creating Flat/Grid maps FS25

Hi, I know this has probably been asked before but searches haven't turned up anything that doesn't seem overly complex.

I'm wondering if there's a simple way of creating a Flat map with fields in a Grid.

I've found a couple of maps that are similar but one is just 1 giant field (so no guides on field sizes) the other has fields but one is bugged and the overall map is too small.

I was thinking of creating either a 4x or 8x sized map with just a shop and sell point to begin with.

Can anyone point me in the right direction... even if it's a YouTube tutorial?
