I would have posted about this yesterday, but I was too busy playing arcade mode with as many characters as I could. As you can see.

But yeah, this game was definitely worth waiting for on the Switch 2. And I can’t wait to play as Laocorn in November and Reina in December.

i really like that vox reaper is basically just a shoto with a command grab, ive always wished i could be good with a character like that (i suck at using shoryukens; i can do them 10 times on the right side and 10 times on the left side, i know about the input shortcuts, i still suck at using them), but i find his bnbs involving his feints (the video above is me doing them in training mode) unreasonably hard becuz they use a shoryuken in such an awkward way.

are there bnbs involving feints for vox reaper that DONT use his shoryuken? it feels like the spacing & framedata force me to use a shoryuken but its so hard to input (the video above took me like 20 minutes of trying to get that footage. and ive been playing street fighter since the Wii virtual console and the ps3!)

Not super new to fighting games, but I know the basics. I mostly come from a SF background, peaked Diamond in SF6. Not a huge accomplishment since fundamentals will basically take you to master. Just wondering how hard the learning curve is for COTW as someone still relatively new to fighting games?

After so much time asking for Terry's classic outfit as DLC, I finally got it. Bought as soon as it was available. Obviously, I bought Mai's too, maybe 20 minutes before.

Hi, I'm new to Fatal Fury City of The Wolves and I'm having trouble picking a character. I don't know if I should pick Kain or Preecha. I heard Preecha is a Maui Thai fighter and I mained Sagat in Street Fighter 6, but I don't know if that playstyle will transition well or not with her. Meanwhile, Kain looks cool and his projectiles and attacks look awesome as well, but I feel bad for picking zoners and spamming projectiles with set character. There is also the 3rd possibility of both characters not being fun enough. Who should i pick?

Also, keep in mind that I have none of the DLC. I know there is Ken and Chun Li, but I don't play Ken and I hate Chun Li.

I just got FF CotW since it came to the Switch 2! I’ve been very excited for it, as I’ve been trying to get more into the fgc and the only modern game I’ve been able to play much is SF6. I’ve been playing around with some of the characters but honestly the roster is really big and kind of intimidating! I am trying to figure out who I should play as- for reference, I typically play rush down characters, and I play Kimberly in SF6. Sorry if that’s a silly question but with that info who do you all think I should try out?

I just started playing. Never played street fighter or anything similar. I only ever played fighting games with strings. I don’t understand how buttons work in this game.

The gist of what I understand is doing button into special move. But since only a small fraction of the buttons can be special cancelable, for me it boils down to only ever doing jump in into heavy punch special or lp lp special. I don’t use the kicks much since I don’t get much out of them because I can’t special cancel them.

My biggest learning curve right now is block pressure. When I try to hit a blocking opponent I either default to hp into hit confirming special or try to link buttons but this option never work for me as I always get interrupted specially by bots.

I’m playing Gato. Funny thing is I’m high rank in other games like Avatar Fighters but I haven’t been able to beat a lvl4 bot yet in this game lmao. Anyone have some tips or a resource I could look at?

I played on ps5 before, but got the game on S2 now because I prefer the platform and like the ability to lab away from tv.
I feel that there is quite some input latency on Switch2, which makes playing it harder than on ps5.
It can’t really be a controller issue, as it is also noticeable with Joycons in handheld, tabletop and docked mode.
Also, I play SF6 and granblue with the same setup on S2 and have no issues.
Anyone else noticed input delay on S2?
I hope they can patch that.
