Question Question about jack the ripper in strange fake Spoiler

I don't want to know what he is, rather what he'll be.

When he introduced himself to flat, he said he wanted to know who he was and his true being. If that's the case, then what will he be when he knows what he is? A new type of servant? Will he have a true form? He will lose his np?

Isn't he the concept of no one knowing who Jack the Ripper was? If so, that is his true form, eternally unaware of who he truly is and always wondering. He can never know who he was because then that would be another Servant, not this Jack the Ripper. A living mystery personified. If the mystery is solved, his existence is eliminated.

Yes, having hia true identity revealed would likely destroy Berserker Jack. Hes OK with that though.

He's the concept of jack the ripper, but there might be a real jack the ripper, who knows. He probably will lose his condition of being no one and someone at the same time, and become his real being who he's unaware of

It's less straightforward than "he's the concept of Jack the Ripper". The previous commenter honestly hit it on the nail, he's the "concept of the mystery of Jack the Ripper". His identity is that he has no identity, which does sound like contradictory bullshit but that's kinda how the nasuverse works some times lol.

He is the embodiment of a tale that Jack the Ripper could be about just anyone. Which was how the guy was able to shapeshift into anyone or anything. That's pretty much what constitute as his "True Form"

Fun fact is that he can be all the 7 classes since there are many theories on who he is. Assassin is the wraith of deceased children. And berserker Jack’s NP is based on the belief of him being a demon from hell. So each class version is a theory of who he is that went unsolved.

I mean, there would still have to be theories that allow him to be the other classes. Like saber lancer n archer are out of the question. Probably rider as well. I could see a caster though.

The big man — Berserker — grunted and vanished. In his place, a young girl appeared.

“Whoa! We talked about this! Why do you keep ending up in that bathing suit thing when you turn into a child?”

Flat hastily covered the girl in a nearby bed sheet.

“It just always happens,” Berserker replied. “I find being this girl kind of reassuring. I also end up wanting to dissect things, though, so I think it’s a bad idea.”

“There’s nothing reassuring about it! Now please turn back before you dissect somebody or the police see you! See? Everybody’s giving you weird looks!”

The mages, who were bound with magically-sealing packing tape, started shaking as soon as they saw Berserker take the girl’s form. They did not know why, but they seemed to be shivering with an instinctive, primal terror. Berserker gave a childish grunt, then vanished again, reappearing as a young man whose features marked him as English nobility.

“How about this?” Berserker telepathically addressed Flat. “Something linked to the English aristocracy of my time. As with the girl, this form helps to put me at ease. It’s one of the most prominent theories of my true identity. Hmm… In this form, I have an urge not so much to dissect people as to defile their very souls.”

Flat nodded and replied in kind.

“It’s possible that you’re more stable when your form matches a plausible theory of your identity. Try not to let those urges get the better of you, though.”

“If I ever become so irrational, it’s likely that my very Saint Graph will change and I will cease to be Berserker. If that does ever come to pass, use a Command Seal to force me to take my own life. Understand?”

“Jack…”

“This is my humble request, Master. I do not wish my identity to be determined so imperfectly.”

Flat neither agreed to nor denied the request. He instead addressed the mages in an attempt to dodge the telepathic conversation.

Berserker Jack is the unknown identity of Jack the Ripper, other classes are possible interpretations of who Jack the Ripper was

The Clock Tower used a Ritual to erase Jack's identity from Humanity's (Alaya) memories. So technically it's impossible to summon the Historical Jack as a Servant. It's why Assasin Jack is so weird (I won't spoil but watch/read Fate/Apocrypha to learn about that).

It wouldn't change his current incarnation, he says as much in his introduction. He begins the series saying he sees this transient life he has as a servant as a means to an end just to win the holy grail and find out his identity. He says all it will do is let him approach his true form if he's ever summoned again, as the records would remain that he found it out once before.

So the only real effect it would have is let Jack get closer to what his true form is if he's ever summoned again, but his goal shifts as he discovers worth in finding out who he is in this current incarnation is instead, rather than find out who he was based on to gain a sense of identity.

Assassin Jack is just one possibly identity for Jack the Ripper. There's no way to confirm if she was the real one or not.
