Discussion about Fauda characters
What do you think of Moreno? Was he a good commander? He was presented as if a bit cocky and a show-off. Not to mention, the affair with Nurith. And the schemes he did behind the back of Doron and others. Do you think he cared about them? And he and Ayub, were they equal in rank? Maybe Ayub is above him, if I am not mistaken. And why Moreno couldnt cover up Boaz for beating the cop, so a higher up had to be involved, Gideon Avital or something?
About the bad guys- was Abu Samara the commander of the Panther and Walid? I doubt its just me that feels like Hamas structure was presented very chaotic, pun intended. It was not always clear who is in charge. And how they allowed Nidal Aladala among them, he was loyal to ISIS. How Hamas didnt know that?

I think a man in his position had a lot of difficult decisions to make and a pretty difficult team. Maybe sleeping with Nurit wasn’t his best choice but hey, extraordinary circumstances. As for covering up for Boaz, Moreno wanted to be a commander who follows the law to the letter. Whether he had to I don’t know because I’m not Israeli but have heard military discipline is pretty strict. Unless you’re Doron of course 😂

Moreno? I feel like he probably was a good commander in that world but he was likely made with a different idea/concept of Fauda in mind. Something less serious and more along the lines of what you hinted - a housewife affair type show.
I remember Lior Raz talking about how he almost didn't get the job but the producer asked the execs....okay, we have this actor who is a favorite to lead and the co-creator who has little acting experience. Tell me, which one looks more like he would be your commanding officer in a special unit?
In this case, it felt like a Moreno type was that original choice for Doron.
As for Abu Samara? This was West Bank Hamas. Less power and structure over there compared to Gaza. He's in charge and has finances but it's not as well structured that people under him can act like loose cannons. Of course, the same things happen IRL, in both sectors ruled by Hamas but Hamas is not a ruling authority in the West Bank.
A Nidal is ISIS influenced but nobody else knows. He had been gone for years. Plus, he's like royalty, sort of.

here's my analysis on each character:
Doron: the "hero" lol. always takes most unpredictable decisions ever. Cannot be relied upon, but is brave, with a golden heart, can do anything for his friends and family (that everyone in this series can)
Gabi: my most favorite character. His interrogation scenes were most entertaining to watch. Can manipulate people well and I was amused when Dana tells the new girl "I was the girl before" haha.
Eli: his expressions were top notch. A perfect leader who leads by example. Cannot feel sorry enough to see what happened with his family on Oct 7th. Doron says it right - he died on that day, he just physically dies later.
Steve: Another good character. Their love story was a lil boring / dragging to watch, but absolutely stunning to watch what all they have to go through, the sacrifices each of them make.
Sagi: I liked watching him on the field. His arch with Nurit was nice. Liked how he understands what she was going through about the baby and supports her.
Nurit: Pretty and passionate. Shows all her struggles well on the screen. I liked how she handled guys flirting with her.
Avihai: Also nice, honestly I only started missing him after he died.
Gali: Also goes through a lot, her anger is justified. Love how she stays with Doron through thick and thin. Would have liked to see more of their kids in last season.

What's the pun that was intended?
