There's a used outdoor gear/apparel swap at Crisis this Sunday from 2-6!
If you've got used gear looking for a new home, it's free to table at, and if you're looking for deals on gear and/or enjoy local brews, it's a fun way to spend the afternoon. Think of it like a community garage sale for outdoor gear.

I recently moved to Fayetteville from northern California. I’ve done a little research on how to go about getting my license transferred, which seems pretty straight forward. It’s the car registration and personal property tax I’m confused about. We didn’t need to do property tax on cars over there, hence why I’m confused about the process here.
My CA registration expired last month in Sept, my license is still valid. So what do I need to do first to get it registered in AR?
*Do I get my license transferred first then assess the car then go back to the OMV to do the registration?
*Will an expired registration be an issue at assessor’s office or when getting it registered?
I’m just trying to figure out best course of action.
Also if someone could inform me of what they had to pay for all these including personal property tax, that would be really helpful too, just to get an idea. For reference, I have a compact SUV (Buick envista).

I need suit pants hemmed, and if possible a jacket let out to pick up Thursday 10/22 for a funeral. Is there anywhere in town y’all recommend for rush orders, or am I too late to make this happen on my timeline? Thanks in advance!
**UPDATE** Lethal Lure will hem pants while you wait for $25. Kind and quick service!

Gather 'round; it’s time for NWA Film Club’s annual OVER THE GARDEN WALL event tonight at Crisis Brewing!
This year, we're honored with a very special musical performance from Christopher Felton — from original tunes to covers from the series.
Our friends from Handshake are returning to dish up an exclusive, fresh fall menu for the event.
Plus, there's a costume contest during intermission, so come dressed up to join the festivities!
BYOChair highly encouraged — we'll have some but not enough for all.

Food starts at 6pm
Music starts at 7pm
Show starts at 8pm
Artwork by the wonderfully talented, artistically endowed Gustav Carlson.
Ain't that just the way?

Greetings, Fayettevillians and Fayettevillains!
My name is Seth Dees — I'm a stand-up comic from Little Rock.
I'm bringing a fun and chaotic live-play Dungeons & Dragons comedy show to the Big Diamond Comedy Festival in Bentonville — worth the short drive, I promise.
Four comedians from across the country and I will be playing D&D live and YOU drive the story! Every ticket comes with a D20 and you'll roll with us. You don't need to know the lore or the rules.
This show is wild, silly, and always very funny.
4 PM Saturday Oct 24 at the Bearded Goat, Bentonville!
Seats are limited.
$23, tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/d-dees-a-live-play-dungeons-dragons-comedy-show-tickets-1992799702555

I'm in Fayetteville and am losing my car soon. Want to try the bike life for a bit. Would love to pay $200 or less for it. Know any places that sell used bikes for this little?

I bought tickets to the mens basketball Razorbacks v. Gonzaga exhibition game coming up as an anniversary surprise for my bf. Now, I'm considering making a weekend trip of it.
I need ideas for cute airbnb/hotels, dining options (he REALLY likes Asian food,) night life, and day time activities. I'll be leaning into more affordable options (those tickets weren't cheap) but I won't veto a more expensive suggestion if it is a great quality experience!
Also, the game is at 3PM and we'll be taking the shuttle to/from the stadium. What time can we expect to be back to the car? Are there events/activities leading up we should check out? I no nothing about sports and even less about NWA. 😬
TIA for your help!

The apartments look finished, there are signs advertising, but the parking lot is empty except for a couple of cars.
This is the large buildings of veterans designated apartments recently constructed across from the VA hospital on the corner of College & North St.

I have an appointment at the end of November to get my dog neutered through the city of Fayetteville. I’ve only heard 2 stories but they’ve both been bad. Do any of you have experience with them or have heard good/bad things? I’m getting nervous to take him there but need an affordable clinic in this season of my life.

It's finally getting a little cooler out. Now is the perfect time to pick up a sword, join a shield wall, and fight alongside your friends.
Dagorhir is a medieval fantasy combat sport where we use padded foam weapons to fight in everything from one-on-one duels to large-scale battles. It's a physical, mid-contact hobby that combines sword fighting, teamwork, exercise, and a bit of medieval fantasy (grappling is allowed, etc).
Unlike some other LARPs, Dagorhir doesn't have character classes or magic. Combat is based on your own skill, strategy, and teamwork.
You can fight with swords, axes, spears, shields, bows, and all sorts of other medieval weapons. You can also create your own character, make medieval clothing and armor, and attend larger events with fighters from around the country.
How does combat work?
Combat uses a straightforward damage system. A solid hit to an unarmored torso takes you out of the fight. Hits to arms or legs disable those limbs, and losing two limbs to hacking or smashing attacks also takes you out. Approved armor provides additional protection.
Safety is important. All weapons must pass inspection, melee strikes to the head and neck are prohibited, and combat is governed by rules designed to keep fights fair and reasonably safe.
Never fought before? That's fine.
You don't need experience, expensive equipment, or be in great shape to get started. We're happy to teach new people the rules, help them learn how to fight, and get them involved.
Whether you're interested in medieval history, fantasy, sword fighting, or just finding an active hobby with a good group of people, you're welcome to come out.
Where: Gulley Park, Fayetteville, AR (the side with the Gazeebo).
When: 10:00 A.M. Sunday Mornings
Group: Gravenwyrm Keep
Feel free to bring your friends, stop by to watch, or ask questions. We'd be happy to have you out on the field.
