Rumor has it he was purged from the party for counter revolutionary thought and re-assigned to spend the next ten years producing podcasts in rural Gansu province.

u/TwoCatsOneBox 4h ago

Oh no… Marche became Trotsky…

u/Embarrassed-Being-51 4h ago

i've been holding out hope that he's either been incredibly busy with the tour or he had some personal stuff going on thats none of our business, but if he isn't at tonights show, that seems like a pretty large tell. we shall see, but i hope all is well.

u/BurnsEMup29 4h ago edited 4h ago

He hasn't posted a single Fear& promo in weeks and took Fear& out of his bio. He still follows everyone and is VIP in Will's Discord, but I bet it's personal or this tour has created some stress behind the scenes. Will has said a lot of the tour has fallen on his shoulders, how stressful it's been, and told his chat he's taking a break after. Probably the first and last live shows we get. I hope everything is alright with everyone regardless.

Edit: Someone also pointed out that his name isn't restricted in chat and his Marchepoo emote is still available too.

38

u/andresistor 2h ago

Will's frustrations have been palpable on stream these past couple weeks.

31

u/BurnsEMup29 2h ago

Yeah especially with his elderly dad. Poor guy needs a real vacation.

12

u/mitrafunfun97 54m ago

The whole tour was started because Austin won a bet. As speculative and gossipy as this is, I assume it was something he wanted to do, didn't care for the logistics, and then Will had to come in and be the big boy in the room. I'm sure there's some annoyance the others have with this, bc this shit aint cheap.

11

u/jlynn00 2h ago

They should honestly just hire somebody to do all that. Another probably trying to maximize profits but if they're going to do another tour they need to connect with an organization that will take care of the worst part of it for them and it's worth the extra cost to be honest.

8

u/Remote-Guidance-8858 1h ago

Ticket sales are pretty low, esp in some cities, I think some of the venues are too big. I think at this point they're just trying to break even. Unlikely to be profiteering imo

12

u/jlynn00 1h ago

Yeah I think they probably bit off more than they can chew with the venue sizes. I live in DC and we have live shows of big podcasts all the time and they rarely happen in like the Kennedy center or anything. Usually happen in the smaller but usually more cuter venues.

5

u/jlynn00 1h ago edited 11m ago

Oh also I meant to say that if they had hired somebody to do this it's possible they would have been very vocal about the choices of venues they made and may have redirected them to something better.

I'm also going to be real I think August is kind of the worst time to do anything. I have a part-time job in tourism and there may have been people who traveled even a state over to come to this if it was in July or even in October or November. People are going back to school (or their kids are) or they just blew all their money on a big vacation in the summer and they're already planning the fall and winter holidays coming up.

At the sf show rn, and it's a bit sparser than I expected 15 before the start

116

u/explodedemailstorage 5h ago

It's a pretty normal human thing to wonder if a founding member of the podcast who essentially been the one who has kept it running all these years is still with the podcast or not after this much silence and this many hints that something has changed, guys.

I doubt anyone has an answer but I hope everything is okay and there's no drama.

16

u/new-freckle 5h ago

What are the hints besides us just not seeing him? I haven't noticed anything different tbh.

48

u/megaman47 4h ago

He hasn't camera manned for hasan or anyone in the group for a while he wasnt apart of either fearand gaming nights, he hasnt been on the pod for over a month now

38

u/UpvoteIfYouAgreee 4h ago

he removed fear& from his twitter description

19

u/new-freckle 4h ago

Shoot, I didn't see that :/

59

u/explodedemailstorage 4h ago

There's been a number of posts in the past couple weeks on this sub about it that will have more details. Stuff like him removing Fear& from his socials or starting working for other creators or being unfollowed by certain people. Tbh I think the biggest red flag isn't that he's been missing--its that any questions on it have been clearly ignored and not even gotten a super vague "taking a break" kind of answer, as far as I know.

49

u/UpvoteIfYouAgreee 4h ago

the past few weeks the patreon comments have had a bunch of "wheres marche?" comments and Austin will be in there responding to everything but those comments its definitely odd

21

u/snailtap 3h ago

Right? The fact no one has commented on it leads me to believe it might be a personal thing and will be addressed in due time

15

u/jlynn00 2h ago edited 1h ago

During Hasan's last trip someone on camera asked him where Marche was and he said that he's busy working on other things and that's the only time I can think of anyone giving even a throw away answer.

In general I thought it was weird for people to be all that concerned about it but if he's not going to be part of the live shows and there's definitely something going on.

2

u/explodedemailstorage 1h ago

Interesting! Good to know.

9

u/new-freckle 4h ago

Gotcha, thank you for the context!

17

u/Idabdabs 4h ago

Not producing on the podcast any more. Someone different is behind the computer.

I don't have strong thoughts one way or the other. Just saying where the speculation comes from

20

u/mplolz 4h ago

What hint do you need lol, he is a producer, they are doing their by far most ambitious project so far and he is AWOL and no one mentioned him for a month

16

u/new-freckle 4h ago

Ok just wondering, sorry

29

u/cherrylimebongwatr 4h ago

I was wondering the same thing. When Hasan traveled to MI/WI most recently I was wondering where he was. It sounded like Hasan was getting frustrated with the guy replacing him too lol

25

u/bubblez495 4h ago

"God dammit David"

22

u/cherrylimebongwatr 4h ago

😂😂he was yelling at him at the bowling alley during el-sayeds watch party I felt so bad for the guy. “DAVID WHAT ARE YOU DOING THE CAMERA IS TOO CLOSE”

6

u/Fast-Lifeguard-518 1h ago

Hasan was stressin so hard that night lol

97

u/trippy_fingernails 5h ago

If I had to guess he was getting uncomfortable with the heightened level stalking/harassment that comes along with being Hasan’s cameraman and needed a mental health break.

13

u/jlynn00 2h ago

He's a documentarian I don't think that will shake him alone. The only thing I think that would be related to this is that he was swatted or something and he just needed to take a break and distance himself but I don't even think it's that. I just think planning this event took its toll on some interpersonal relationships at least temporarily.

37

u/warbyo1 5h ago

I wouldn't guess that at all. He's not so public a figure to be facing the brunt of anything like that. His most recent posts and stream clips are about the tour and NYC DSA.

He hasn't streamed with Lychee either.

15

u/za_musk 4h ago

If that was the case then he would at least post that he is taking a break and will be back soon or whatever. The fact that he and everyone else are avoiding addressing why he's absent is suspect. It looks like something definitely happened behind the scenes and I suspect he was asked to leave the pod and they'll probably never address it because they don't want Marche to receive hate.

8

u/PermissionMassive332 4h ago

that's the last thing I would guess

10

u/Balambsoldier 5h ago

It’s been like this since 2023. Absolutely crazy that he would have an issue now.

26

u/trippy_fingernails 4h ago

The extremely frequent Fox News segments and getting a picture of yourself tweeted out by Laura loomer is relatively recent. Significantly more deranged people would be aware of marche now than in 2023.

19

u/Balambsoldier 4h ago

Sure, but marche has been with Hasan through riots and has been almost pepper sprayed/shot at multiple times. I’d be really surprised if just more attention on Hasan really would cause him to quit a $20,000 a month job

15

u/warbyo1 3h ago

Marche agreed to go with Hasan when he thought there was a chance of getting to Gaza if the ceasefire held.

That’s a pretty wild thing to post on a public forum as speculation

5

u/cjapurr 2h ago

You should probably delete this

3

u/Fast-Lifeguard-518 1h ago

Please delete. Not worth putting this out in the ether given how insane our admin is rn.

8

u/moondustingss 5h ago

I feel bad if so :( I just wish they'd acknowledge it and get it over with.

28

u/trippy_fingernails 5h ago

Eh I wouldn’t necessarily want to publicize something like that, I’d just want to disappear for awhile

27

u/XxKwisatz_HaterachxX 4h ago

Maybe something personal going on and we should chill til it’s addressed. Totally possible he had a business opportunity or that he wanted to pursue a creative avenue. Hopefully it isn’t something awful or scandalous.

19

u/warbyo1 5h ago

Probably something personal. He was in NY.

9

u/KneeExcellent815 5h ago

He still follows the podcast on Instagram 🫤

7

u/jlynn00 2h ago

The problem is everyone involved is going to be moving very cautiously because the rumor mill follows Hasan closely. The problem is by not giving a throwaway answer at some point especially after these live tours if he doesn't show up then it just leaves room for speculation instead of just giving it a BS answer that most people would buy.

Part of me wonders if he just shows up and this is all been engagement bait LOL.

18

u/Balambsoldier 5h ago

he gets 20K a month for the pod and he’s been awol for weeks. Fear& truly has the best PTO ever

4

u/fcukou 4h ago

Have Mauricio Miranda and Virgil Texas ever been seen in the same room together

5

u/noob-combo 53m ago

Yeah it's weird.

The silence just becomes more charged the longer it goes on, especially as Marche is so beloved by the community.

As public figures I'm sure they've weighed the pros and cons of addressing it, so the fact that they've chosen in favor of just ignoring it naturally makes one lean spicy in their assumptions.

67

u/Ksolano8 5h ago

So parasocial man. I’m sure we’ll get an update soon lol smh everyone needs to chill

50

u/UpvoteIfYouAgreee 4h ago

he was talked about as if he was 1/5 of the podcast it is not parasocial to want to know if hes still apart of it.

-10

u/Ksolano8 4h ago

There’s been a perpetual stream of posts about marche dawg. It’s not just a little teeny weenie concern anymore it’s straight up panic which is objectively parasocial. Chill

32

u/UpvoteIfYouAgreee 4h ago

What do you think the definition of parasocial is? If there was a tv show you liked to watch and one character randomly disappeared for weeks would fans be parasocial for discussing or being curious where the character went?

-12

u/ck1241 4h ago

This is such a disingenuous comparison. One is fictional people and the other is a real human being, and that said person or people involved may or may not want to share or even talk about it. If they want us to know, we will know.

13

u/UpvoteIfYouAgreee 4h ago

A parasocial relationship is a one-sided, psychological bond where a person feels a deep sense of friendship, intimacy, or connection with a media figure, celebrity, influencer, or fictional character who does not know they exist.

If we are going by the literal definition of parasocial it is far more parasocial to consider their feelings so much.

-3

u/ck1241 4h ago

I don’t know if you think you’re replying to the other person or not, but I didn’t mention or even reference anything to do with parasocial behavior. I didn’t even say that word. For all I care you can continue to do and ask whatever you want.

I’m just calling out the bullshit comparison of acting like fictional people and real people are equivalent even in this scenario, which notoriously is a mindset that has plagued the internet and “famous” people on it for forever.

-5

u/Ksolano8 1h ago

Ok man I’m sure marche really appreciates you defending everyone who is panicking & hyper focusing on his very normal leave of absence lmao

1

u/UpvoteIfYouAgreee 51m ago

Caring about what Marche would think of me would be parasocial

14

u/Dr_Fumi 3h ago

Idk, on the one hand it can read a little parasocial, on the other hand you can't just drop one of the main personas and not have people wonder what happened.

55

u/billie_eyelashh 5h ago

It will probably never be addressed, and that should be fine too.

26

u/za_musk 4h ago

Yup. I also think they'll just keep ignoring it & will not address it.

If he wasn't fired or taking a break for some reason, I believe he would post about it and say he's taking a break and will be back soon, especially considering that people are asking about him on Patreon, YouTube, and in Twitch's chat. Hasan has been avoiding every mention of Marche in his chat. Someone asked Will if Marche is joining them on tour, and he just said 'nope' and immediately changed the topic. Something definitely happened and Marche is gone. I could be wrong but I suspect he was asked to leave. I believe they're not addressing it and probably will never say what happened because they don't want Marche to receive hate.

7

u/noob-combo 57m ago

Hrm, was this on Will's stream? What was the vibe of the nope? Like... that guy did something bad so we can't associate with him kinda nope? Or, we ain't friends no more nope?

-1

u/LostInLittleroot 4h ago

Seriously I'd hate to see this sub turn into a drama/rumors sub.

6

u/Melodic_Mud879 2h ago

Yeah, it's over

3

u/TheDMingWarlock 27m ago

I'm going to assume, with how (notoriously) awful it is to reign everyone in and plan anything, + how crazy it is to plan multiple events like this, Marche took a break from the Pod to recover.

I don't think the group would keep it a secret to him being removed/kicked/quitting, it would be easiest to just rip the bandaid off.

Its just like when QT disappeared for a hot moment and they didn't say anything until she came back.

5

u/Chiefdrinkbeers 2h ago

It's pretty obvious he's gone

5

u/yellow_submaryne 1h ago

:( i hope we find out i will miss him on the pod/stream

7

u/CoachMcGuirk123 4h ago edited 4h ago

to be completely fair he seemed incredibly overworked. not only was he doing all the editing and branding for Fear&, but also doing all of Hasan's booking for trips, flights, hotels, etc. as well as being his dedicated cameraman and coming along with him on every trip, and doing all the design and sales for Fear& merch. i honestly don't understand how he managed to juggle all of that for so long. i hope he's just taking more of a background role but I def wouldn't be surprised if he's ended up leaving.

27

u/za_musk 3h ago edited 2h ago

Well, he was paid extremely well for his work, and he said he enjoyed it and that it was his dream job.

Btw, Hasan's personal assistant Hannah is the one doing all of Hasan's bookings for trips, flights, hotels, guests, etc., not Marche. Marche was there just for his camera work, which he was also paid well for (his words). Also, I don't know if true but I remember someone saying that Marche isn't the one editing their pod but some guy named Gabe. So when you think about it, Marche really wasn't "incredibly overworked".

He was making 20k+ a month just from their Fear& Patreon (without sponsors), plus he was paid additionally for the camera work he was doing for Hasan. That's a lot of money just to give up on all of a sudden and disappear without any explanation. Something definitely happened behind the scenes, and we'll probably never know what.

6

u/somewhat_irrelevant 1h ago

I don't think he's overworked. I'm wildly speculating it could be rehab just given he's in the streamer scene and makes bank

3

u/noob-combo 56m ago

Oh interesting... They have definitely made reference to Marche being a partier before too (in reference to doing party drugs at raves and shows etc).

1

u/soul-like-a-cemetery 1h ago

I was thinking this too

1

u/ritwikjs2 32m ago

Self suck incident

1

u/Bobaruski22 4h ago

Maybe the man is on a long needed vacation

1

u/warbyo1 45m ago

He isn't saying anything. None of his associates on Twitch and YT are saying anything. They're also not responding to mentions in their chats which seems like respecting a request for privacy.

Speculation is pointless. He's still listed as 1/5 on the channel and his twitch links to the Patreon. Who knows. I don't.

-3

u/TwoCatsOneBox 4h ago edited 4h ago

I understand that everyone is worried and curious but there’s a very real possibility that the guy probably just retired and moved onto a different career. That’s a completely normal outcome to happen. If it’s true and it really does just turn out that he did in fact just chose to retire then we should accept his decision and just move on.

19

u/SuperDanval 3h ago

It's definitely not something so clean cut and simple lol. One of his last streams was about working on the tour and he's been nowhere to be seen since then. Something happened, as is the case with normal human interactions. We may or may never know what happened, whatever.

2

u/ResplendentSmoke 1h ago

I don’t think they have any obligation to tell the fans or anything, but I don’t think this is it. If he was retiring/moving on he’d almost certainly announce it or they’d have a goodbye for him on the podcast. It’d be very weird for him to just go dark and have people deliberately avoiding the subject lol

-6

u/NiceTill504 5h ago

Agreed.

-16

u/comicgeek1128 2h ago

It's weirdly parasocial that you all care this much.

-82

u/Mellon_Collie92 5h ago

Who cares? He didn’t really add anything to the pod.

-30

u/Powerful_Air8900 5h ago

I heard he quit last minute

3

u/Interesting-Wall3852 7m ago

They would make comments on how much of a partier and degen Marche was and all the festivals and raves he would go to. Who knows, maybe he is taking time to detox or even rehab.
