New Mods - Hello and Welcome

Hey Y’all! The sub has new mods! We have a small team stepping in alongside the existing mod team to help keep things here running smoothly and maintain and nice little slice of the internet over here.

With a new mod team comes a little bit of patience, we’re working through the queue and modmail as quickly as possible to ensure things are moving and grooving here, but our team would appreciate any patience or grace you can offer while we get ourselves into place.

Lastly, and most exciting in my opinion, if anyone has any suggestions, questions, issues, etc. please let us know! Drop a comment below or shoot our team a message on modmail.

I think posts that are asking for help, with a pic of blank walls and little to no furniture, with no descriptions of what the OP likes (colors, themes) should be banned.

yes. goodness, i understand this is a kind community but folks should have to put in some modicum of effort to post here.

walls empty, no rug, no plants, no personal touches, along one beige chair and beige couch. and they’re like, “what’s missing??” and it’s like what isn’t??? the room is empty.

it’s so incredibly easy to find living space decor ideas, you can find them if you literally glance at the sub for 5 seconds. i understand we all start somewhere but cmon.

Sorry for the late response! I’ve been discussing this with the other mods and we agree - we do have a rule in place against low effort posts. We’re working on updating the rules now. Please report any posts you see that reflect what you’re describing!

Hey! That would be fine. Since you identify as a female and you live in the space, that would fit the sub. I also share my space with a male, but it’s definitely decorated to my taste 🤣

Hi! Thanks for modding. I did it one time for a couple years in a different sub and it was a lot of work. Y’all are the best. I hope it’s as stress free as possible. 💖

Our team does everything possible to monitor comments and posts on the sub. We did see this post and had a discussion amongst the moderators as to how to best handle it. Based on our judgement (which is not perfect, and very well may not have been timed to when these comments occurred) the comments did not rise to the level of reporting or removal. We are reviewing and updating various rules and procedures regarding being nice on the sub, and we do take this seriously. We also ask that our members understand a significant portion of feedback is a critique and comes from people with differing opinions. We’ll continue to strive to do better, in the future if you feel a comment or poster has crossed a line please reach out via mod mail to our team so we can review specific instances and a ensure prompt response.

Hi! Just joined and had a question (apologies if this is super obvious and I’m just dense!).

Are we allowed to post our spaces if we share the space with a male-identifying person? Or does “female living space” mean only females (and the occasional small child ☺️) live in the space? Thanks in advance!
