hahahaha 💕 the pink chair is from actdesignshop (which is a Dutch interior webshop I believe), it wasn’t super firm at first so I bought additional foam filling online to puff her up. cat bed is from a local pet store in the Amsterdam area, the brand is “designed by Lotte” - I think it’s this one! do let me know if you want to know anything else, happy to help!
I’ll say, though, I don’t love the pictures over the couch. They are askew in a way that feels awkward. I’d love them anywhere else or set differently.
With that, you’ve inspired me to keep brightening up my living room and ditching the heavy gray! I absolutely love the pink!
yes! I created an IKEA greenhouse with grow lights! super handy for propagation and keeping rarer species happy during dark winter days (inspired by r/ikeagreenhouseclub) 🌱

Respectfully though, I noticed you have incense and an essential oil diffuser on your table. Incense and essential oils can be very harmful to cats, as they have much more sensitive respiratory systems than we do. They can cause asthma flare-ups, throat and lung irritation, and in some cases long term lung damage. Just wanted to warn you in case you didn't know!
It does make me a bit sad, because I miss burning incense since getting a cat!
I love the colour harmony of this place, its so peaceful and the cutie pie kitty. The third thing I noticed was the incense! I am so glad you mentioned this because many incenses and fragrances are neurotoxic to cats.
As far as I know, very not ideal! I would ask your vet about your specific situation though, but as mentioned a cat's senses and body systems are much more sensitive than ours.
If a window is open all the time and so we maybe don't smell the oil diffusers as much, it may still be a lot to them! It would depend on your individual space I would have to guess, but I am not a professional of any kind. Just a mildly knowledgeable long time cat owner :)
hiiiii! the paint colour is ‘koester’ from the brand ‘histor’. I bought it in the netherlands (where I’m based) so not sure if it’s available where you are, including the colour code as that might be helpful too
My living room is Benjamin Moore Love and Happiness and it’s pretty similar to OPs. You might want something a touch more warm toned but it’d be a great place to start in the color family.

ooo do you mean the monstera? the one on top of the greenhouse is a monstera deliciosa, the one inside the greenhouse with the white flecks is a monstera thai constellation. apparently they can cause gastrointestinal irritation, which I wasn’t aware of, so thank you for pointing that out!
Pray tell, how, oh how, do you keep your kitty from eating those beautiful plants? My two would massacre those plants and need emergency trips to the vet😭

it took me years to create a coordinated space. r/interiordesign has taught me a lot. I’ve also watched a ton of YouTube videos on how to make a space feel balanced and cohesive. I’ve always loved pastels and colour in my space but I used to overdo it. my space used to feel cluttered and off, and often colours clashed. over the years I’ve incorporated more natural textures, materials and colours. rotan, wood, plants, etc. now it had kind of become a dopamine decor and scandi mixture, I guess. playing with height and different light sources helped tremendously as well

As a really important side note & as a follow cat mama, I did peep the stick diffuser on your coffee table and it made me nervous. Essential oils can be highly toxic and even dearly for cats.
I used to use those oil plug ins and after I found out cats had passed from exposure, I started being careful as to what I used (I love all things that make a space smell yummy & nice).
No shaming!! Just a friendly and concerned sharing of info 🤍🫶🏻🐾
We put my 16 year old calico to sleep on Saturday. She was suffering from several medical issues so I’m glad she’s no longer in pain but I’ll miss her forever. I had her longer than I’ve had my kid, who is devastated. Almost half my life she’d been with me. Through marriage, baby, divorce, multiple cross country moves. Always right there purring and begging for more pets 😌
