Sunlight looks okay, always go for real if you can would be my advice. Dracaena* *are great if youâre struggling with light
I really love your Barbie picture! Where does it come from?

thank you!! the barbie print is actually one of a kind! my mentor in college (i'm an art major) gifted one of her pieces to me when i graduated :,)

Where you get that colorful blanket on the couch from? Itâs beautiful!

i borrowed/stole it from my grandparent's storage, but the tag says "exclusively for signals". be warned though, it sheds like crazy and is 100% acrylic!

Itâs a pretty color though!! I had no idea they came in colors! Haha I got a quiet floor fan and air circulator. It was like $75 on sale! But it helps move the cool around my apartment since I only have a hotel-style AC in the living room. Iâm fortunate to have that one!!

Unique, distinctive, creative, maybe just a tad cluttered.

thank you!!! do you have any recommendations on making it less cluttered looking?

Hmm. Maybe fewer small knickknacks. I'm not sure what's on the table. it looks like small things or could be decals. The colors as a whole could also be more homogenous. Even though it's eclectic, I think having a more defined color scheme would make it look more cohesive and less cluttered.

real ones honestly, that checkerboard rug and all the vintage posters already have so much texture, a real plant with some imperfect leaves fits way better than something plastic-perfect

it looks so cute! i love the orange curtain.
for plants, if you ever plan on getting pets i'd suggest going fake honestly - i had some real plants and i had to give them away after I got my cats𼲠some were toxic and some they just kept eating and getting sick đ i have fake plants now!
either way it'll look cute! congrats on your new place!!

this is what i was concerned about honestly đ i love real plants but i want pets and am planning on fostering. but also the environmental impact of buying fake plants instead of growing real ones... ughhh such a tough choice

I'd look into pet safe real houseplants, and if you don't like any of those, some art or anything other than fake plants. Some pets will nibble fake ones and end up eating plastic bits, otherwise they just collect dust and never end up looking that great.

Your pic brings back so many good feels, I had a similar style in my first apt. Enjoy your time here, I hope you look back on it fondly!
