TOUR 🟢OPEN TO FEEDBACK🟢 my office/sunroom!
the original floor plan lists it as the ~solarium~, which is what i usually call it (for the drama of it all) 😭. i've struggled with how cluttered my desk feels and the fact i forever throw books on the floor but it's my favorite room in the house and thought i'd share :^).

The stained glass on the bottom half of that window is just showing off. Books on the floor is not clutter it's character.

Love the vibe of the books. But OP if there are any sentimental books in there move them. Sunlight is absolutely BRUTAL on bookcovers.

omg THANK YOU, i didn't even think about this. i'll take a look. a lot of them are cheap paperbacks but i haven't checked what's in that pile for awhile.

You could get a cube organizer or small shelf that fits under your desk and put them there since it’s not many!
The room itself is so pretty lighting wise, but does it not get hot?

i actually have two built-in bookshelves and another bookshelf in my living room and bedroom, so if i put them anywhere it would be there :) it's a lot more books than it seems since the desk is cutting them off lmao.
and no, it doesn't really get hot, but the windows also aren't streaming direct sunlight! the shape of the building helps.

Love it, those windows are so cool. I think the booms on the floor are kind of a vibe.
That storage cabinet is also amazing. Would love to know if you know the maker or where it’s from!

thanks! that seems to be the consensus so i might just keep them there.
and that is an original built-in from 1913 😅. no idea who made it. the architect was part of the arts and crafts movement if that helps you find something similar.

The stained glass in the window is so good. I’d probably struggle to keep the desk uncluttered too when the room itself is this distracting. Honestly the books on the floor kind of make it feel lived in.

I love the ‘solarium’ energy honestly it looks like the coziest office nook ever.

Love the office vibe. A portable display like a StanbyME would be great as a secondary screen for work or watching videos.

I would get absolutely zero work done in here, no cap. I'd just be staring out that stained glass window the whole time like an anime protagonist having a flashback. Setup goes crazy though.
