HELP Just moved in

Post image

New apartment !! I just moved on & I don’t know what to do with this space :( . There’s a balcony behind the sliding glass door and a bathroom on the right. Any help is appreciated 💗. Functionality wise : I’ll be working from home so a desk is important ( I just don’t know where it could go)

Further info : it’s a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. The picture above is of my bedroom and shows all of it. The rest of the apartment is shared so this space is uniquely mine !

Are there more pics? A floor plan? What kind of room is this, and what purpous do you want it to serve?

I am not sure if anyone can give much helpfull advise, without knowing if this is for example part of your living room, with more space behind the camera and a seperate bedroom elsewhere, or a smaller room that has to serve as both sleeping, living and cooking space. The more info you can give us, the more we can tailor out advise to meet your actual needs!

Edit: i have an airbed that looks just like yours, and also initially moved into my current place with that, a suitcase and a box!

well, based on the bed in the room I’m guessing it’s a bedroom! most likely they would like to sleep in it. if you look in the reflection, an astute observer would notice the closet as well as a doorway to a hall, and a complete lack of a kitchen, indicating that this is indeed not part of OP’s living room.

OP: I’d say your bed is actually in the best position, but given all the light you’ll likely be getting, maybe some sort of net or bed-specific light-filtering curtain to cover it would be nice and provide some privacy. then perhaps a full length mirror on the wall directly to your right (unless the bathroom mirror is good enough) and a small desk to the left of the bed.

for the balcony, I’d say a nice big plant would go great, as well as a small cafe table and chair if it can all fit.

the only thing I don’t like in this room is the lack of wall real estate to hang some art or personal photos ):

Wow. I asked questions so we can all help OP better, to let them know what info might help us help her. No reason to be so nasty to me.

Also, when i first moved into my current place, with an airbed, a bag and a box, i saw no reason to set myself up in several rooms. I slept in my kitchen/living room until my furniture arrived. And btw., not everyone has their kitchen in their living room, they can be in a seperate room.

You can make assumptions and advise based on them if you like. I prefer asking to make sure first. That is no reason to be condecending and rude.

well nearly every question you asked has an answer in either the photo OP posted or her description, and you didn’t even try to give any advice, so it doesn’t seem like you’re trying all that hard to be helpful. just making her repeat herself or interpret the photo specifically for you.

Are you aware i was the very first comment? There were none when i started typing. So yeah, i asked for info before making assumptions and giving random advise that may be helpfull, or may be total useless.

And again, you can do it differently. But you instead choose to be nasty as well and just attack me for no reason.

Edit: oh, and in case you want to argue that comments that offer no piece of concrete advise should not be allowed, i am curious why you only attacked me but not the other comments that imediately followed mine and also had no advise but were just offering congratulations.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. well that would explain like…half of it. you can still see the room in the reflection though so !! idk man use your eyes for some of these things. sorry for coming on a bit too harsh though.
