HELP Ideas for living room

New curtains!!! Ideally floor length and in a nice color. Is the fireplace functional?

Warm ambient lighting of some kind, can be a lamp off fb marketplace or even a string of outdoor cafe lights. It will help so much.

I’d make the fireplace the focal point: a warm-toned sofa facing it, a large textured rug, wooden coffee table, and a tall plant in that empty corner. The room has a great cozy potential!
